What Is the Camper Interview?

Before any dog joins us for boarding or daycare, they complete a Camper Interview, a supervised temperament evaluation that lets us get to know your pup and helps confirm every dog in our care is a good fit for group play. During the interview, we match Campers with others of similar size and personality so the play environment stays safe and positive for everyone.

For dogs coming in for boarding, the Camper Interview includes time in a Cabin. Getting familiar with that space during the visit can make the first overnight stay much more comfortable.

Vaccine Requirements for Boarding in Virginia Beach

All boarding dogs must be spayed or neutered and current on their vaccinations before attending Camp. We require the following:

• DHPP – Protects against Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. Puppies typically start this series at 6 to 8 weeks old with boosters every 3 weeks and a follow-up booster a year later; adult dogs receive boosters as their veterinarian recommends, generally every 1 to 3 years.
• Rabies – Required for all Campers.
• Bordetella – Required for all Campers; helps protect against kennel cough in group settings.

We also recommend the Leptospirosis vaccine annually. Our Certified Camp Counselors are trained in dog behavior, CPR, and pet first aid, and any Camper showing signs of illness is isolated promptly.

What’s Included in an Overnight Boarding Stay?

Day Camp is included with every overnight boarding stay at no additional charge, so your dog gets a full day of play before settling in for the night. Accommodations come in two options:

• Standard Cabin – A cozy cot, a fleece blanket, and a nightly Campfire Treat.
• Luxury Suite – An upgraded space for pups who like a little extra room to spread out.

Medication administration and specific diet accommodations are included in the boarding rate. Pricing is all-inclusive, so there are no surprise fees when you check out.

How Much Does Dog Boarding Cost?

Current non-peak nightly rates are listed below. Holiday and peak periods may be subject to seasonal pricing adjustments.

• Standard Cabin – 1 dog: $57 per night
• Standard Cabin – 2 dogs sharing: $53 per Camper, per night
• Standard Cabin – 3 dogs sharing: $50 per Camper, per night
• Luxury Suite – 1 dog: $78 per night
• Luxury Suite – 2 dogs sharing: $74 per Camper, per night
• Luxury Suite – 3 dogs sharing: $70 per Camper, per night

A 10% discount is available for military members, first responders, and educators with valid ID. This discount can’t be combined with other offers.

What Should I Pack for My Dog’s Boarding Stay?

A little preparation goes a long way toward helping your dog settle in comfortably. We recommend bringing:

• A favorite blanket or toy – Familiar scents help dogs feel at ease in a new space.
• Their regular food – Pack enough for the entire stay. Switching foods suddenly can cause digestive upset, so keeping their diet consistent is the simplest way to avoid it.
• Clearly labeled medications – Include dosage instructions so our team can administer them correctly.

Can I Check on My Dog During Their Stay?

Live webcam access is available during business hours so you can peek in on your pup from a computer or through the Camp app. The app also lets you customize your Camper’s profile, request reservations, and stay connected throughout their time at Camp. It’s free to download on iOS via the App Store and on Android through Google Play.
