Overnight Dog Boarding Experience Near Baltimore
When your travel plans keep you away from home overnight, we want your pup to feel just as comfortable as you do. Our overnight stays combine all-day play with restful evenings in our cozy cabins, so dogs can wind down after a full day of fun and settle into a predictable routine. This structure helps reduce stress for pups who may not be used to sleeping away from home, and it gives pet parents around Baltimore confidence that their dogs are following a healthy pattern of exercise, mealtime, and sleep.
During longer visits, we keep consistent feeding schedules based on your instructions, administer any approved medications, and monitor how your dog is eating, sleeping, and interacting with other campers. If you are traveling for several days from nearby areas such as Towson, Pikesville, or Owings Mills, our team will share updates as needed so you always know how your dog is adjusting to our overnight dog boarding routine and daily activities.
To help you prepare, we can talk through your itinerary, your dog's normal bedtime habits, and any special comforts they enjoy, such as extra blankets or specific calming routines. Many pet parents flying out early from BWI or catching an evening train at Baltimore Penn Station appreciate being able to drop off their dog the day before, letting their pup ease into Camp life while they focus on their own travel details. Our dog boarding service is designed to feel like a mini vacation for your dog, with familiar care, friendly faces, and plenty of chances to relax between play sessions.
Safety & Transparency in Dog Boarding in Baltimore
Your pet's safety is our top priority. Local standards for pet care demand careful attention to safety protocols, and we meet these expectations through:
- Safety Commitment: Ongoing facility monitoring and thorough Camper screenings ensure a safe environment for all dogs. Our staff is trained to recognize subtle cues of canine body language, preventing conflicts and helping every dog stay comfortable and happy.
- Web Cameras: Pet parents can check in on their furry friends at any time, offering peace of mind throughout their stay. This transparency allows you to be part of your pet's daily routine from anywhere, contributing to a worry-free boarding experience.
In addition to our on-site safety practices, we keep clear records of vaccinations and health requirements so that every camper sharing play spaces stays as healthy as possible. If you are coming from nearby communities such as Towson, Parkville, or Catonsville, our team will review your dog's information with you at check-in and explain how our safety-focused dog boarding service supports your peace of mind throughout each stay.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Should I Bring When Boarding My Dog?
Bringing familiar items from home can help ease your dog's transition into our boarding facility. We recommend bringing your dog's own food to maintain their diet and any required medications. Feel free to pack a favorite toy or blanket for comfort. Additionally, if your dog has specific medical or dietary needs, please inform our staff to ensure they receive the appropriate accommodations and care during their stay near Baltimore.
For longer trips, such as extended work assignments or vacations, we can help you plan what to pack based on the season, your dog's age, and their activity level. Many pet parents heading out of town from the Inner Harbor area, Federal Hill, or nearby suburbs like Lutherville-Timonium find it helpful to discuss their itinerary with us so we can recommend the most comfortable overnight dog boarding setup, including ideal feeding schedules and rest times for their pup.

Baltimore FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Towson is here to help!
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
