Why Families Choose Our Camp

Open Play Environment with Skilled Supervision

Pet parents have options for care, and they choose our Camp because it feels different from a traditional kennel. Our open-play environment gives dogs the chance to enjoy all-day supervised fun and socialization, instead of waiting for brief scheduled outings.

Structured Days That Keep Dogs Happy

We blend active play, emotional comfort, and structured routines so that many dogs go home relaxed instead of restless. It is this balance that helps define our approach as a dog boarding company Roeland Park families return to when they want their pups to look forward to their stays.

Comprehensive Services

Because we also offer daycare and grooming, many families appreciate that they can take care of multiple needs in one visit. A dog might come for doggie boarding Roeland Park trips and also enjoy a bath before going home, which can simplify life for busy owners.

Most of all, our passion for dogs shows in the way our Camp Counselors interact with each Camper. We treat dogs like our own, and we work to make every stay feel like a warm, familiar routine rather than a stressful separation.

What Your Dog’s Stay Looks Like

Knowing exactly what happens during your dog’s visit can make boarding feel much less stressful. When you arrive for check-in, our team greets your pup, confirms feeding and routine details, and gets your Camper settled so their adventure can begin.

Morning Play

Mornings typically start with supervised playtime, as dogs join their designated playgroups based on size and temperament. Our Camp Counselors stay in the yards with the dogs, guiding play and keeping a close eye on body language so interactions stay friendly and fun.

Rest Periods Built In Throughout the Day

Throughout the day, we build in rest periods so dogs can relax in their cabins or calm spaces between play sessions. This helps keep pups from becoming overstimulated and supports a more relaxed overnight dog boarding Roeland Park experience.

Evening Meals and Sleep Time

Meal times follow the schedule you request, using the food you provide so routines stay familiar. In the evening, dogs enjoy another round of play or potty breaks, then return to their cozy cabins for the night. Our team monitors Campers, and during the day you can peek in on the fun through our web cameras.

Safety, Screening, & Supervision

Group play and overnight stays can be wonderful for social dogs, but only when safety comes first. At our dog boarding service Roeland Park location, every Camper goes through a screening process before joining the play yards.

Learning Your Dog Through Our Camper Interview

During this Camper interview, we get to know your dog’s personality and general play style, and we observe how they interact with other dogs in a controlled setting. We also confirm that basic health and vaccination requirements are met, which supports a healthy environment for all Campers.

Certified Camp Counselors®

Our Camp Counselors receive training on dog behavior, playgroup management, and safe handling techniques. They stay in the play yards with the dogs, encouraging appropriate play and stepping in if any pup seems tired, overwhelmed, or simply ready for a break.

Secure Facilities

We maintain secure fencing, controlled entry points, and cleaning routines that help keep spaces fresh and comfortable. This approach allows us to offer a dog boarding company Roeland Park families can count on when they want their pups to enjoy social time in a well-managed setting.

Booking Overnight Dog Boarding

We want booking your dog’s stay to be as simple as possible. The first step is to contact our team so we can schedule a Camper interview for your pup if they are new to our Camp. Once your dog is approved for play, we help you reserve the dates you need.

Our boarding includes all-day playtime with compatible groups, cozy cabins for rest, and plenty of attention from our team. We use an all-inclusive pricing approach, so you can feel confident that your dog is getting the full Camp experience without worrying about hidden fees for standard care.

Before drop-off, we will review what to bring, such as your dog’s regular food and any medications they need, so their routine stays as consistent as possible. For many families here in Roeland Park, having this clear process makes planning trips and long weekends much easier.

If you are ready to learn more or reserve a stay, our friendly team is happy to walk you through dates, options, and any special notes about your dog. When you feel comfortable with the plan, boarding becomes one less thing to think about.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will you keep my dog safe during boarding?

We focus on safety through Camper screening, health requirements, and active supervision. Every new dog completes an interview before joining playgroups, and our Camp Counselors stay in the yards to monitor interactions. Secure fencing and cleaning routines also support a healthy, comfortable environment.

What does a typical boarding day look like at Camp?

During a boarding stay, dogs enjoy supervised group play, planned rest periods, and regular meals. Campers start the day in their playgroups, pause to relax in cabins, then return for more fun. Evenings include wind-down time and potty breaks before they settle into their cozy cabins for the night.

My dog has never boarded before. Can you help them adjust?

Yes, we work to make first stays as smooth as possible. The Camper interview lets us introduce your pup to Camp gradually and learn what helps them feel secure. Our team offers gentle encouragement, structure, and routine so many first timers gain confidence over time.

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
