I use Camp Bow Wow for boarding and daycare. This past week, I had one planned daycare day, and the following day turned into a need for daycare.
I really never give it a thought once she’s there. For my girl, I do love checking the video feed to see what she’s doing and how she’s interacting.
She has a great time, takes my door “off the hinges” as we leave the house. They know her, she knows them, they have given her medication responsibly, they let me know if she has a “rough housing” boo-boo and have treated it.

Camp Bow Wow Is My Shih Tzu’s Favorite Place
Camp Bow Wow is my shih tzu’s favorite place in the world. She knows when Mondays are because that’s the day she gets to play with the puppies; she’s inconsolable if it doesn’t happen.
The staff have always been amazing. One time I dropped off our girl and as I was leaving heard one of them yell to the rest of the staff, “WE’VE GOT LUNA!!!”
They have daily special events for the dogs, like obstacle courses, ball pits, and flavored pup cups. If our pup didn’t enjoy the activity or didn’t touch the pup cup, they didn’t charge.
The live cameras allow me to watch how she interacts with the other dogs. If I’m having a bad day, seeing them roll and play makes it better. They also send pictures of the activities, so I love that. Examples are included.
We also boarded here for a week when we had to travel. We didn’t think she was going to want to come home.
It’s great to have some grooming services. Luna sometimes needs a bath before coming home because she’s played so hard with the puppies that day!
I can’t say enough great things about CBW. I never thought a 13 lbs dog could do any damage, but she’s dang near dragged me into the building several times. She comes home exhausted, which is priceless when your dog has a tendency to suddenly go into velociraptor mode with pent-up energy. Worth every penny to me.

Been sending our dogs here for years. The fact that all day play is included in boarding costs is AMAZING. They always come home exhausted. Never any issues when we board, dogs always well taken care of. They also don’t charge extra to administer meds which is HUGE because both our pups are on Rx.

We usually pay extra for a bath post boarding, however, I would not recommend if your dog is a poodle/poodle mix with a longer coat. You’re better off scheduling a post boarding bath appointment with your regular groomer. The standard bath at Camp Bow Wow does not include a brush service.
We keep our dog’s fur short in the summer and don’t usually experience any issues this way.

We will never use another boarding facility or day care. Camp Bow Wow treats our babies as their own. They love going to “camp” and have such a great time. The staff is incredible and Amanda is the best! Amanda goes out of her way to send pictures to us and makes sure our babies are taken care of.

Camp Bow Wow Jacksonville is absolutely fantastic! We’ve been taking our cavapoo Buttercup here ever since she was a tiny puppy! They always take such great care of her! They always have such fun activities for the dogs, and she comes home happy and tired from all the fun! We love checking on her throughout the day when we drop her off for daycare with the cameras, which is an awesome feature. She’s also gotten baths here, and they do a great job with those too. I’ll leave some pictures of some of the fun she’s had over the past year!
