Why Dogs Love Staying Here

When you choose Camp Bow Wow Dulles South, you are choosing a place where dogs can truly be dogs. Our open play environment lets pups run, romp, and socialize with friends instead of sitting alone in a run. We have spacious indoor and outdoor play areas, so dogs can stay active in different kinds of weather while still being supervised by our Camp Counselors.

We focus on a balance of fun and rest. Throughout the day, dogs move between play, water breaks, and quiet time as needed. This steady rhythm helps them burn off energy without becoming overwhelmed. Many parents tell us their dogs go home happily tired, which often makes evenings calmer for the whole family.

Our boarding experience feels like a dog hotel. Campers enjoy a full day of play with their pals, then return to their cabins in the evening for a peaceful night. While your pup is with us, you also have the option to add services such as training sessions or grooming appointments, so you can return to a clean, well exercised dog after your trip.

Families in this part of Virginia often use our Camp when they are flying out of local airports or commuting to busy work hubs. Knowing their pup is playing and relaxing here while they are on the go makes travel and long days away a little easier.

Overnight Boarding Comfort & Care

Overnight dog boarding should feel calm and predictable for your pup. At our Camp, each day of a boarding stay follows a familiar pattern. In the morning, dogs head into their play groups to greet friends and start their day. They spend the day moving between indoor and outdoor yards, with breaks to rest and recharge as needed.

In the evening, Campers return to their own private cabins. These cozy spaces give each dog a quiet spot to unwind, stretch out, and sleep securely. We encourage you to bring your dog’s regular food, and you can bring a favorite blanket or toy if you wish, so their cabin feels even more like home.

We work to follow your dog’s normal feeding routine, including any special instructions you share with us. Our team pays attention to how each pup settles in, especially during the first night. Some dogs need a little extra reassurance when they are away from home, so we keep a close eye on how they are doing and adjust their routine when possible to help them relax.

For many parents, the most reassuring part of overnight dog boarding is knowing their dog is not alone in a quiet building. Our Camp is designed for ongoing monitoring, and our Camp Counselors are attentive to how groups and individual dogs are doing throughout the day and evening. When you combine this with the ability to view your pup on our web cameras, overnight stays start to feel much more comfortable for everyone.

Safety, Screening, & Supervision

Safety is one of the biggest concerns for families considering dog boarding in Chantilly. We understand that, and we build safety into every part of the Camp experience. Before any dog joins group play, they go through our Camper screening process. This visit helps us learn about their behavior, energy level, and comfort around other dogs and people.

Once a dog becomes a Camper, we place them in appropriate play groups based on factors such as size, age, and play style. This matching helps reduce stress and keeps play fun instead of overwhelming. Our Camp Counselors are trained to read dog body language and to step in when play needs to slow down or when a dog needs a break.

Our facility is set up to support safe play and clean living spaces. Play yards are enclosed and designed for visibility, which allows our team to supervise groups closely. We follow cleaning routines to help maintain a healthy environment for our Campers. You can feel confident that we pay attention to both physical and emotional safety during every visit.

Transparency is another key part of our approach. Our web cameras let you see your dog in the play yards during the day, so you can watch them enjoy Camp from wherever you are. Parents often tell us that being able to check in this way makes them feel much more relaxed while they are traveling or working long days.

What Is Included In Boarding

When you book a boarding stay at our Camp, you can expect an all inclusive experience that keeps things simple. Your dog enjoys a full day of supervised play in our indoor and outdoor yards, along with nightly cabin stays for rest and privacy. For many families, this type of dog boarding service provides the mix of activity and comfort they are looking for.

We keep our pricing structure clear, and our goal is to avoid surprise add on charges for basic care. Before your dog’s stay, our team walks you through what is included and what optional services are available. This way you can decide in advance whether you would like to add grooming or training while your pup is in Camp.

Preparing for a stay is straightforward, and we guide you through each step. Dogs need to be up to date on required vaccinations, and we review any health notes or special instructions at booking. On the day you arrive, our team reviews your dog’s feeding schedule and belongings so we can help them feel settled right away.

Here is a simple checklist to help you get ready for boarding:

  • Your dog’s regular food in labeled, portioned containers
  • Any medications with clear written instructions
  • Emergency contact information and your preferred veterinarian
  • A favorite small blanket or toy if you choose to bring one
  • Confirmation that vaccinations and Camper screening are complete

Frequently Asked Questions

What will my dog’s day look like while boarding?

Your dog spends the day playing in supervised indoor and outdoor yards with built in breaks to rest and hydrate. Meals follow the schedule you share with us. In the evening, Campers return to their cabins to relax and sleep, then start another fun day in Camp.

How do you keep dogs safe in group play?

We start with a Camper screening to learn how each dog behaves around others. Then we place them in play groups that fit their size and play style. Camp Counselors supervise all play, watching body language and giving breaks when dogs need time to reset.

My dog has anxiety. Can they still stay overnight?

Many dogs with mild anxiety do well once they settle into a routine of play and rest. We pay close attention to how each Camper adjusts and work to keep their schedule as consistent as possible. Familiar food, comfort items, and cozy cabins can help them relax.

How do you handle my dog’s food and medication?

We ask you to bring your dog’s regular food so their diet stays consistent. Our team follows the feeding schedule and instructions you provide. We can administer medications according to your written directions, and we take care to record doses and timing accurately.

How do I book a boarding stay at your Camp?

You can contact us to schedule a Camper screening and discuss dates for your dog’s stay. We review vaccine requirements, answer questions, and explain what to bring. Once your pup is approved for Camp, booking future boarding visits is a simple, convenient process.

Chantilly FAQs

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Dulles South is here to help!

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

  • Yes, we offer extended dog boarding! We understand that sometimes life takes you away for a bit longer, and we're here to make sure your pup is happy and comfortable the whole time.

  • Yes, we offer dog boarding for all breeds! The safety and well-being of our canine guests are our top priorities. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we require all dogs to pass a Camper Interview. This process helps us determine if our play-based environment is a good fit for your pup.

While we don't discriminate based on breed, please note that some insurance policies and city ordinances may have restrictions. For specific questions about our policies, please contact your local Camp Bow Wow today.

  • To maintain our incredibly high standards and satisfaction ratings, your pup must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines.

Other vaccinations and requirements for dog boarding can vary by Camp. Contact your local Camp Bow Wow for details.

  • If you'd like to drop off your pup for overnight dog boarding stays, we suggest you bring them in before 4 pm to ensure they have plenty of time to play, eat and enjoy themselves before bedtime.

To ensure we can give your dog plenty of attention when you come to pick them up, we kindly ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before closing time.
