Safety Standards for Dog Daycare in Cary
We screen new Campers before they join regular daycare and supervise them throughout play. Our requirements and monitoring practices are designed to protect every dog in our care.
Our safety standards include:
- Certified Camp Counselors® trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid
- A required Camper Interview for every new dog
- Spay or neuter and vaccination requirements for Campers, including our Bordetella policy
- Current Canine Influenza, Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations
- Ongoing supervision in indoor and outdoor play areas
You can also use our live webcams to check on your pup from a computer or mobile device during the day.
Your Dog’s First Daycare Visit
Every new Camper completes a free Interview Day before joining regular dog day care in Cary. This visit gives us time to meet your dog, complete the required screening, and observe their comfort in the daycare environment.
Prepare for Interview Day
Before the visit, confirm that your dog is current on Canine Influenza, Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. Dogs must be spayed or neutered by seven months of age to continue attending after that point. You should also verify your reservation details and share relevant care instructions with our team.
Supervised Play & Rest
During the day, your pup can participate in supervised play and social interaction. Camp Counselors monitor the play areas, and dogs have access to water and opportunities to rest between active periods. If you selected one-on-one enrichment, your dog can also enjoy the chosen 15-minute activity.
Stay Connected Throughout the Day
Our webcams let you check on your pup from a computer or mobile device. At pickup, you can reunite with your Camper after their day of supervised exercise, socialization, rest, and engagement.
Plan Your Pup’s Day at Camp

This is a core safety standard across Camp Bow Wow locations to help every Camper enjoy a positive, supervised open‑play experience.
