Come Back to a Clean, Happy Pup
Picking up a happy dog from Camp is great. Picking up a clean, brushed, and dry one is even better. At Camp Bow Wow Brighton Township, we offer nail trimming and bathing services as part of your dog’s boarding or daycare stay, timed so your pup is groomed and ready at pick-up. No separate trip to a salon. No bath-time struggle at home.
Our dog grooming areas are specially designed for your pup’s comfort, and because your dog has already spent the day playing here, they’re relaxed and familiar with our staff before the bath ever starts. That familiarity can make a real difference for dogs who find grooming stressful in an unfamiliar place.
Grooming in a Familiar Place, Not a Strange Salon
Most grooming salons mean a new place, new people, and new smells all at once. Dogs who come to us for an exit bath have already spent their day in our facility, playing with our Camp Counselors and getting comfortable in the space. That continuity of care carries right through the grooming process.
Our Camp Counselors monitor your dog throughout the day, so the same team that managed playtime is also overseeing your pup’s comfort during grooming. While your dog is with us, you can check in anytime through our live webcams. And because we believe in transparent, all-inclusive pricing, there are no hidden fees to sort through at pick-up. Every dog who receives grooming at our facility has also completed our Camper screening process, which evaluates health and socialization readiness before their first visit.

Why Regular Professional Grooming Supports Your Dog’s Health
A bath does more than make your dog smell better. Regular brushing and bathing can help remove trapped dirt and loose fur, help prevent painful mat formation, and distribute natural oils through the coat to support skin health. Most dogs benefit from a professional bath roughly every four to six weeks, though coat type and activity level both influence the right interval for any individual dog.
Nails are easy to overlook until they’re clearly too long. Overgrown nails can alter the way a dog walks and create joint pressure over time, so staying ahead of nail growth matters. If you hear your dog’s nails clicking on hard floors, it’s typically a sign a trim is overdue.
Professional grooming also gives someone a close look at your dog’s coat, skin, and paw pads on a regular basis. Early signs of skin irritation, lumps, or paw pad issues may be easier to address when caught early, and a routine grooming appointment is a natural opportunity to notice them.

Dog Grooming FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Brighton Township is here to help!
-
An exit bath is a bath scheduled at the end of your dog’s boarding or daycare stay so they go home clean and fresh after all their Camp adventures. We time it close to pick-up so your pup is dry, brushed, and ready for snuggles when you arrive. Just ask to add an exit bath when you book your Camper’s stay.

Most dogs benefit from a nail trim every 3–6 weeks, but it depends on how fast their nails grow and how much they naturally wear them down. If you can hear your pup’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s usually time for a trim. Our groomers can recommend a schedule that keeps your Camper’s paws healthy and comfortable.

Both nail grinding and clipping can be safe and effective when done properly. Clipping quickly shortens the nail, while grinding can smooth and round the edges, which some pups and pet parents prefer. Our team can talk through the options and help you choose what’s best for your dog’s comfort and nail health.

A typical dog bath service includes a gentle shampoo, a thorough rinse, towel and/or blow dry, and a brush-out suited to your pup’s coat. Some Camps may also offer add-ons like nail trims, ear cleaning, or de-shedding treatments. We’ll always let you know exactly what’s included so your pup gets the most out of their bath time.

Many pet parents love adding a bath at the end of a boarding stay or a big day of play so their pup comes home clean, soft, and cuddle-ready. After all that fun in the play yards, a fresh bath can be a nice finishing touch. Let us know at booking if you’d like to schedule a bath so we can plan your Camper’s “spa time” before pick-up.
