Pawsitive Start Jr. in Bentonville

A Balanced Start for Your Growing Puppy

Pawsitive Start Jr. gives puppies from 4 months to 1 year old a structured mix of socialization, learning, play, enrichment, and rest. At Camp Bow Wow Bentonville, we provide these experiences in a supervised daytime environment designed for this important stage of development.

Developed with input from Camp Bow Wow Bentonville’s animal health and behavior team, the program introduces pups to compatible playmates, unfamiliar objects, and learning experiences. Each day also includes focused enrichment and designated time to recharge.

Socialization That Continues Through Puppyhood

Continued socialization can support a puppy’s comfort around people, dogs, and unfamiliar situations as they mature. Every puppy develops differently, so temperament, previous experiences, and the pace of exposure to new environments all matter.

Supervised play provides opportunities to interact with compatible dogs in an organized setting. Rotating activities introduce essential skills and new objects, creating varied opportunities for learning and play throughout a puppy’s first year.

Supervised Play with Compatible Dogs

Our Bentonville daycare staff are extensively trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid. They monitor play and separate dogs into areas according to size, temperament, and activity level.

Smaller or more timid puppies spend time with compatible playmates, accounting for differences in play style and energy. Families can check in through live webcams from a computer or mobile device while their pup is at Camp Bow Wow Bentonville.

A Daily Rhythm of Activity & Rest

A Pawsitive Start Jr. day combines shared experiences with one-on-one attention and downtime. Puppies move through different forms of engagement, enrichment, and rest rather than spending the entire day in open play.

Program elements include:

Daily Group Play: Puppies enjoy supervised playtime with compatible dogs.
Rotating Activities: A changing daily activity introduces skills and provides exposure to different objects.
Individual Enrichment: Food puzzles and calming activities provide focused engagement away from shared play.
Designated Nap Times: Planned rest periods offer a break from the stimulation of an active day.
Daily Report Cards: Families receive an update about their puppy’s time in the program.

Why Choose Pawsitive Start Jr.? Pawsitive Start Jr. is perfect for puppies because it targets their need for play, learning, social interaction, and rest, ensuring they develop important social and cognitive skills early on. This helps keep them on the right track as they enter into their teenage years.
