A Day Built Around Play, Compatibility, & Rest

Dogs that spend their days playing and socializing often come home content and ready to rest. A structured CampLife routine gives your pup physical activity, mental stimulation, and companionship while you’re away.

The Camper Interview and Your Dog’s First Day

Before joining our play yards, every dog completes a Camper Interview. During this one-on-one session, we assess your pup’s temperament, play style, and comfort in a group setting. Afterward, our Camp Counselors® provide a brief report on how your dog adjusted.

Once cleared, dogs are placed in compatible groups based on size, temperament, and energy level. Certified Camp Counselors® supervise play, offer gentle guidance, and redirect mounting, excessive barking, or rough behavior before it escalates. Scheduled rest breaks help prevent overstimulation. We can also adjust your dog’s group as their confidence, energy, and play preferences change.

How Regular Daycare Can Benefit Your Dog

Long periods alone can leave dogs with limited opportunities for exercise and social interaction. A regular Camp routine provides a positive outlet for their energy and curiosity.

Physical, social, and mental benefits include:

Open play that helps dogs use pent-up energy and maintain a healthy weight
Supervised interaction that lets dogs practice positive behavior around people and other pups
New sights, smells, and activities that provide mental stimulation
A structured routine that may reduce boredom-related chewing and barking

What Is Included in Daycare Pricing?

Our all-inclusive pricing has no hidden fees, so you’ll know the cost before your dog arrives. Flexible packages accommodate different schedules, and we don’t charge extra to administer medication. Daycare is also included when your dog is boarding with us.

How We Keep Houston Campers Safe

Daily Supervision & Health Checks

We train every Camp Counselor® in dog behavior, pet CPR, and first aid before they enter a play yard. A balanced staff-to-dog ratio allows us to supervise each group closely and watch for signs of illness, stress, or discomfort.

Every dog receives a Snout-to-Tail Assessment at check-in. This brief head-to-tail review helps us identify visible concerns before a Camper enters the shared play environment.

Requirements for Group Play

Dogs must complete the required screening and be current on vaccinations before entering the play yards. They must also be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to participate in group play.

Required vaccinations:

DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis/Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
Rabies
Bordetella: learn about our Bordetella policy

Clean Play Yards & Practical Safety Rules

We clean and sanitize the play yards, water bowls, and facility surfaces daily with pet-safe products. Toys aren’t allowed in the play yards, helping reduce resource guarding and choking hazards.

Live Camper Cams℠ are available through the Camp Bow Wow website and app during Camp hours. You can watch your pup from a computer, tablet, or mobile device wherever your day takes you.
