Why Families Choose Our Camp Near Meyerland Area
Dog parents in this part of Houston look for more than a traditional hotel. They want a dog boarding service that keeps their pups active, social, and relaxed, rather than isolated in runs all day. We created our Camp around that idea, so dogs can be dogs while staying safe and cared for.
At our Camp, dogs enjoy open-play in spacious indoor and outdoor areas, with all-day play included in every boarding stay. Our fun-loving Camp Counselors supervise play, encourage healthy interactions, and pay attention to each dog’s personality so shy, social, and high-energy pups all feel comfortable.
We know surprise charges can be frustrating, especially when you are already planning a trip. That is why we offer transparent, all-inclusive pricing, so you know what is included in your dog’s stay before you book. Playtime, attention, and TLC are part of the experience, not add-ons.
Families often tell us their dogs come home content and ready for a nap, instead of wired or stressed. Our goal is that every pup leaves Camp relaxed and excited to return, and that every pet parent feels like we treated their dog as part of our own family.
What Your Dog’s Day Looks Like
When your dog stays with us, their day is built around play, socialization, and appropriate rest. After check-in, boarding pups join our day Camp, where they are introduced to compatible play groups based on size, temperament, and play style. This helps each dog feel comfortable and have fun right away.
Throughout the day, our Camp Counselors stay in the play yards to monitor behavior, guide group dynamics, and offer individual attention. Dogs enjoy spacious indoor and outdoor areas, so they can romp, explore, or lounge, depending on their mood. When the Houston weather is hot or rainy, indoor climate-controlled spaces keep pups comfortable.
We build in rest breaks so dogs do not get over-tired, especially during longer boarding stays. Mealtimes are handled according to your instructions, and we follow your feeding routine as closely as we reasonably can. Our goal is to keep their day predictable, active, and enjoyable, so they feel secure even when you are away.
Boarding dogs spend their days playing alongside our daycare Campers, which means they get plenty of social time instead of sitting alone. By evening, most pups are happily tired from a full day of activity and ready to relax in their cabins.
Overnight Comfort & Dog Hotel Care Near Meyerland Area
Nights can be the biggest worry for pet parents, especially on that first boarding stay. At our dog hotel near the Meyerland Area, we focus on making nighttime as calm and cozy as possible, so pups feel secure after a busy day of play.
Each dog has a private cabin, which provides a quiet place to unwind. Cabins are designed to feel comfortable and inviting, with space for bedding and any familiar items you choose to bring. Many families send a favorite blanket or toy that smells like home, which can help dogs settle more easily.
In the evening, we follow your pup’s typical feeding schedule as closely as we reasonably can, including any special instructions you provide. After dinner and one last chance to stretch their legs, dogs head to their cabins to rest. The full day of activity helps most pups relax and sleep soundly.
Our team checks on dogs and monitors the facility to support a safe, secure environment at night. We know that knowing where and how your dog sleeps is important, so we are happy to walk you through what overnight dog boarding near the Meyerland Area looks like at our Camp before you book.
How We Keep Play Safe
Letting your dog play with other dogs can feel stressful if you are not sure how the group is managed. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we have systems in place to help dogs enjoy social time while minimizing risk.
Before joining our pack, every new dog goes through a Camper screening process. During this visit, we get to know their personality and general behavior around people and other dogs. This helps us place pups in suitable play groups and identify whether our environment is a good match for them.
Our Camp Counselors stay in the play yards, guiding introductions, watching body language, and stepping in when a break is needed. Groups are organized thoughtfully, and we keep a close eye on play styles so that rough-and-tumble dogs and more relaxed pups can each enjoy their own pace.
Cleanliness and ongoing facility monitoring are part of our routine, and we work hard to maintain a healthy environment. For added peace of mind, our web cameras allow pet parents to peek in on their pups during the day. It is one more way we keep our dog boarding service transparent and reassuring.
When your dog stays with us, you can expect:
- Screened Campers who meet our behavior and vaccination requirements
- Supervised play groups managed by trained Camp Counselors
- Indoor and outdoor yards that are monitored and cleaned regularly
- Web cameras so you can see your pup enjoying Camp

Meyerland Area FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow West Bellaire is here to help!
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
