Peace of Mind During Playtime: Camp Bow Wow’s Vaccine Policy

At Camp Bow Wow®, we take every precaution in creating a safe environment for all Campers. Part of our commitment to Camper health and safety is requiring that all pups who attend Camp are at least four months old and up to date on their DHPP or DHLPP (often called distemper/parvo), bordetella, and rabies vaccines.

These vaccinations help to prevent the spread and minimize the risk of contagious illnesses that can affect any dogs who socialize with other dogs or those in playgroup settings such as dog parks, grooming facilities, and daycares. At Camp, we do our part through daily disinfection of all surfaces and shared resources and close monitoring of all Campers.

Additionally, puppies younger than four months should not share space with adult daycare groups, as their immune systems are not yet strong enough, and without proper vaccinations, even indirect exposure to adult dogs can cause their system to become overwhelmed and pose health risks. Since the Rabies vaccine is typically given around sixteen weeks of age, puppies are not fully protected until this time.

Through these requirements, you can rest assured that when your pup is with us, they are in the best hands. We take pride in the level of care we provide to all Campers and in ensuring all pups in our care are happy and healthy.
