Dog Boarding in Windsor
Overnight Dog Boarding in Windsor, CO That Feels Like a Vacation for Your Pup
When you head out of town, your dog doesn’t have to wait it out in a kennel run. At Camp Bow Wow, overnight dog boarding means a full day of running and romping in spacious play yards, followed by a cozy private Cabin each night. It’s a genuine home-away-from-home, not just a place to sleep.
Windsor pet parents choose us because their dogs often come home tired, happy, and ready to come back. That’s the open-play boarding difference.

Safety, Screening & Requirements for Dog Boarding in Windsor
Every dog that boards with us goes through the same careful process. Our requirements protect your pup and every other Camper in the facility.
The Camper Interview
Before a first boarding stay, all dogs complete a Camper Interview. This behavior assessment helps confirm the right playgroup placement and that Camp is a good fit. It’s a straightforward step that helps set dogs up for success from day one.
Vaccination Requirements
To participate in group boarding, dogs must be current on rabies, bordetella, and DHPP (distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). Dogs must also be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age.
Check-In Process
To keep check-in smooth, complete the Boarding Pre-Check-In Form before arriving and bring a copy to check-in. The form must be filled out completely and updated for every boarding visit. Including your estimated pick-up time helps our team plan a smooth checkout for your pup.
Our Camp Counselors are trained in dog behavior, CPR, and pet first aid, and they supervise play yard groups throughout the day, making adjustments as needed to keep interactions safe and positive.
Add-Ons & Extended Stays
A boarding stay at Camp Bow Wow can be more than just overnight care. Grooming services can be added to any visit, so you drop your dog off, take care of your trip, and pick up a freshly groomed pup when you return. Training can also be incorporated into a boarding stay for Windsor dogs working on new skills. For longer trips, extended boarding is available, and stays of 10 nights or more may qualify for a discount. Call us before booking to talk through the details.

Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
