Dog Boarding Near West Odessa

A Happy Home For Your Dog When You Are Away

Leaving your dog while you travel or work a long shift can feel stressful. You want more than a basic hotel, and you want to know your pup is safe, loved, and having fun. At Camp Bow Wow® Petroplex, our dog boarding is designed to feel like a home-away-from-home for families in West Odessa.

Here, dogs enjoy all-day play with friends, lots of human attention, and cozy cabins at night. Our Camp Counselors monitor pups throughout the day, and we follow a Camper screening process to help keep campers safe. We work to give you peace of mind, and your dog a stay that feels like Camp, not confinement.

Start with our required Camper Interview to see how your dog thrives in our social environment. Reach out to our team near West Odessa at (432) 287-7281 or book your dog’s initial evaluation online today.

Why Our Dog Hotel Near West Odessa Feels Like Home

When you leave your pup with us, you are trusting us with a member of your family. We build every part of our dog hotel around your dog’s happiness and comfort. Instead of spending most of the day in a traditional stay, campers enjoy open play in our indoor and outdoor areas with plenty of space to run, romp, and socialize.

Our fun-loving Camp Counselors are in the play yards with the dogs, encouraging healthy interactions and watching body language so everyone stays comfortable. We start with a Camper interview, which allows us to learn about each dog’s personality and helps us place them in the right play groups. This focus on social matches helps your dog feel relaxed and confident during their stay.

We know that pet parents want to stay connected, especially during an extended visit. That is why we offer web cameras in our play areas so you can peek in on your pup throughout the day from wherever you are. You can see your dog making friends, chasing toys, or taking a break, which often eases the worry that can come with an overnight visit.

Cost is another concern for many families in West Odessa. Our goal is to keep pricing simple and honest. We offer transparent, all-inclusive rates, so playtime, affection, and basic care are part of the experience, not surprising add-ons at checkout. You know what you are paying for upfront, and you know your dog is getting plenty of attention in return.

What Overnight Boarding Looks Like

It helps to picture exactly what your dog’s day and night will look like when they stay with us. Boarding dogs typically join our regular daycare groups during the day, so they get a full schedule of play and social time. In the morning, we welcome Campers, settle them into their groups, and give everyone time to warm up with safe introductions.

Throughout the day, dogs rotate between our indoor and outdoor play spaces. They run, wrestle gently, sniff, and relax alongside friends, always with Camp Counselors nearby. We build in rest periods so pups do not get overstimulated, and we work to match the pace of each dog, from young, energetic Campers to older dogs who prefer a slower day.

Meals are served according to your instructions, using the food you provide, so their stomachs stay happy. If your dog has medications or special feeding routines, our team follows those directions carefully and documents what your pup receives. We aim to keep things as close to your home routine as possible, which can be especially helpful for sensitive dogs.

In the evening, boarding dogs head to their own cozy cabins. Each cabin gives your pup a personal space to unwind after a full day of play. We provide comfortable bedding and fresh water, and you are welcome to send a familiar blanket or toy from home for extra comfort. Our team performs checks to be sure all Campers are settled, calm, and ready for a good night’s rest.

Here is a simple snapshot of a typical stay:

  • Morning check-in and greetings with Camp Counselors
  • All-day supervised play with built-in rest breaks
  • Meals and medications served according to your instructions
  • Evening wind-down and cabin tuck-in time
  • Overnight rest in a clean, cozy cabin until morning

This rhythm of active days and peaceful nights helps most dogs feel content and pleasantly tired. Many Campers get excited when they arrive because they remember the fun they had during their last visit.

How We Keep Dogs Safe & Happy

Safety is usually the first question pet parents ask about any dog boarding service. Before a dog joins group play, we conduct a Camper interview to learn about their history, behavior, and comfort level with other dogs. This process helps us understand whether our open-play environment is the right match and how to introduce them smoothly.

Once at Camp, dogs are placed into play groups based on size, temperament, and play style. A gentle older dog will not be placed in the same group as a rowdy youngster, and small pups are kept with friends their own size. Our Camp Counselors watch the groups closely, stepping in to redirect if play gets too intense or if a dog needs a quick break.

We also pay attention to emotional well-being. Some dogs take a little time to adjust to boarding, especially if it is their first stay away from home. Our team looks for signs of stress, such as pacing or excessive vocalizing, and offers reassurance and breaks from the action when needed. The goal is to help each dog settle in at their own pace.

Cleanliness is part of safety, too. We maintain our play areas and cabins with regular cleaning routines so dogs enjoy a fresh environment. Vaccination requirements help protect against common illnesses that can spread where dogs gather. Combined with ongoing facility monitoring, these practices support a safe and healthy setting for doggie boarding.

Boarding For Dog Families in West Odessa

Life in West Odessa can be busy. Many pet parents work long or irregular hours, and some have jobs tied to oilfield work or other shift-based schedules. Others take weekend trips or longer vacations and need a trusted place where their dog can stay active and cared for while they are away.

Our Camp is here for those everyday realities. We are convenient for families who live or commute through the area and want a boarding option that keeps dogs engaged instead of being alone at home. Whether you are heading out on a road trip or facing a string of long workdays, we work to make planning your pup’s stay simple.

The West Texas climate can be tough on dogs if they are outside for too long. Our indoor and outdoor play spaces help us adjust quickly. On hot days, dogs can cool off inside while still socializing, then head outside during more comfortable times. This balance supports both safety and fun for pups who love to run.

Many of our Campers come back regularly, which lets us build ongoing relationships with both dogs and their humans. Over time, your dog gets to know our team, our play yards, and even their favorite cabin spot. That familiarity can turn what once felt like a nervous first stay into something your dog looks forward to when you plan your next trip.

Planning Your Dog’s Stay At Camp

If you have never used a dog boarding company in this area before, it can be hard to know where to start. We work to make the process clear and friendly. The first step is usually to schedule a Camper interview so we can meet your dog, learn their routine, and confirm that our setting is a good fit.

Once your pup is approved for Camp, we help you choose dates for boarding, based on your travel or work schedule. We recommend booking early for busy times, such as holidays, since those periods can fill quickly. Our team can also talk through options like adding a day of play before boarding begins, which helps some dogs settle in more easily.

West Odessa FAQs

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Petroplex is here to help!

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
