September 2026 Counselor of the Month
JohnHi, my name is John and I've been working at Camp since May of this year. I'm a college student studying Wildlife Biology, which is why I started working at Camp. I wanted to gain some experience working with animals, so Camp seemed like a natural fit. Now, I wouldn't say that I have a favorite Camper, but Ahuva, Buster, Blowfish, Ruby Jane and Petrie are among my favorites to work with. My favorite part about Camp is getting to see how happy the dogs are when I give them head pats and belly rubs. In the future, I'd like to travel conducting field research on animals all over the world.
September 2026 Camper of the Month
ChantoMeet our resident snack thief, Chanto! She's about 9 months old, almost 50 pounds, and somehow convinced she's the size of a dachshund. You'll almost never hear her bark, but don't mistake that for being shy. When it's time to play, she'll romp, wrestle, and defend her favorite toy like it's a family heirloom.
She's also exceptionally sneaky, Leave a snack unattended and she may quietly materialize beside it and make her move before anyone realizes what happened.
Most of the time, though she's a calm, sweet girl who just wants to be close to her people.. preferably while taking up much less space than a 50-pound dog reasonably should.
