Newark Request an Interview!

at Camp Bow Wow

Thank you for requesting an interview. We are looking forward to meeting you and your Camper!

To speed things along, you may fill in the Camper Application and email an image of your dog’s vaccinations to Thank you!

Prior to confirming an interview date and time we need to have:

1. A completed Camper Application sent via Docusign

2. Vaccination records showing your Camper is current on rabies, distemper and bordetella and spayed/neutered if over 6 months old. If the bordetella vaccination has never been given or has expired a waiting period is needed so dogs can build immunity before coming to Camp. The waiting periods are:

  • one-week period after receiving the injectable or oral vaccination
  • 48-hours is required after receiving the intranasal vaccination

We strongly recommend Campers get bordetella boosters every 6 months no matter what type of administration their vet uses. This gives Campers added immunity and has been shown to reduce symptom severity if exposed. Staff dogs that come to Camp are required to follow this 6 month booster policy.

You may e-mail these to

Once we have this information, we will reach out to set up a date and time that work for you. Interviews are scheduled by appointment only so we can focus on each new dog and get them comfortable. The interview takes about 20 minutes. You may stay in our lobby and watch from a flat screen if you would like. If you have not had a tour of our Camp, we will give you one after the interview.
