I have been a pet sitter for family and friends for many years. I would take them for walks, making sure they had plenty of exercise. Feed them, making sure each dog had the right portion and brand. Clean up after them, and give them tons of love and affection! I am hoping Camp Bow Wow will be awesome opportunity for me to learn even more about dogs and dog behavior.

    Fun Facts

What I love Most about my job: I love that I can help care for dogs while their parents are away or busy. I feel like I get to help them by giving them love and attention while their parents are gone. I enjoy seeing the new dogs and our regular pups coming in each day.

My Pets: I have two dogs: My oldest dog is Coco who is about eight years old. She is a Weimaraner/Poodle mix. We adopted her from a owner who could no longer take care of her. My second dog is Macy and she will be turning five years old this year. She is a shih-tzu/yorkie mix, she is my little baby!

I have had Guinea Pigs, a Jewel curly tailed lizard, leopard and spotted geckos as well as several dogs and cats that I have grown up caring for as members of my family. I graduated from Lincoln High School and am currently attending the Young Adults Program at Eastern Michigan University in conjunction with Washtenaw Intermediate School District. All of my pet care skills have been self taught in caring and loving for all my pets.

My Pets: Until 11/20/16 I had two dogs and one cat. We lost our dog Angie (Angelina Rose) who was a black lab that we adopted three years ago from a lab rescue. She needed a new forever home after her dad passed away, and she found it with us! Unfortunately Angie was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue in October. My brother, mom and I miss her terribly. My best little bud is my Chihuahua, Kiki. I also have a blue point Siamese named Chai. We love all our pets!

I Ever since I was a young girl, all I wanted to do was work with animals. I got my first dog when I was 6years old and he has been the love of my life since. I started volunteering at the Dearborn Animal Shelter nearby my house, because I knew I could not take all the animals home, but I just wanted them to feel loved. Before I got this job, the only experience I had with other animals was pet sitting for my friends and family. This is my first job and I am happy for the opportunity to work on something I am so passionate about.

    Fun Facts

What I love most about my job: WI love working at Camp Bow Wow. I feel so helpful when someone has an emergency situation and they know they can faithfully bring their dog to us and know that pup will be well taken care of. Working in the Play yards with all of the dogs is a great highlight and I have to say, I love learning the names of the dogs, there are so many creative ones!

My pets: We rescued all of my pets from the Dearborn Animal Shelter. We got ChooChoo ten years ago when he was just a baby. He was my very first dog and he has been there for me ever since. All of my dogs are mutts but he is mainly a Boarder Collie/ Spaniel. Now he is older and he just likes to sleep in my bed, which I have no problem with. Next is Buck; He is mostly lab and he is known for having a big head. Buck does not like me, much but I love him to bits. Finally, there is the teeniest, tiniest Pitbull ever; Her name is Maybelle and she likes to pretend to be clothing items, mainly scarves and hats. By this I mean she is the cuddliest little thing and she knows no boundaries, but I could not ask for better pets!

All my life, I have loved animals of all kinds. I grew up in Dexter, Michigan with dogs, cats, and other animals. We would sometimes rescue bunnies and lost chipmunks. I did frequent volunteering out at SASHA farm, Manchester. I graduated from CCS, Detroit with a BA in FineArt Photography. When I was in school, I often brought my pets/friends with me to class. They hung out in the lab and in the matting room. The most well known were my two cats, Lucky, a rescue found in Brightmore, Michigan. As well as Casper; obtained from a local pet store. I always had a rat, Little Timmy Christopher, at that time & he loved riding in the car with me & playing with his “brothers,” Casper & Lucky.

Lucky, tuxedo cat, (thinks he’s the dog of the house). Angelo, “angel” in Italian, a maine coon rescue, as much fun as he is big!
