Sharon with JoJo & Nike |
Leader of our pack, Sharon Opfermann worked as the Human Resource Manager at Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough Law Firm for many years. Sharon loved her job, but wanted a workplace where she could bring her dogs, JoJo & Nike (and the new addition to her home, KoKo). She came across Camp Bow Wow and its Franchise opportunities. So, Sharon decided to leave the corporate world and open up her own Camp Bow Wow here in Salt Lake City. She is our Top Dog and is a Certified Camper Care Specialist.

Ben with Nike, KoKo, & JoJo |
While you may not have seen his face in Camp, Ben is the man behind the curtain making things work. He is our IT guy, our delivery guy, and our handy man. He and Sharon have been married for 38 years and have been never been without a dog, including but not limited to 2 beagles, a German Shepherd, an Irish Setter, a Cockapoo, a Lab mix, an Aussie, and a Shih Tzu. On top of all that, they have raised two wonderful human kids as well. |
Amy with Andy, Berlin, Colby, & Peony |
Amy has been with Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake since the beginning. She and Sharon opened Camp together and Amy has been a valuable part of our team since before our doors opened. Amy handles everything from management to accounting. She is also a puppy raiser for CCI (Canine Companions for Independence) and is a Certified Camp Counselor. |

Trish with Ruki & Kahe |
Trish is a Managing Certified Camper Care Specialist. She has extensive training in canine behaviour and is a valuable asset to our team. She has been with Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake for over a year and has over 9 years experience in the pet care field. Trish is our go-to girl for everything from tough nail trims to computer questions. |

Andy with Sophie & Asher |
Andy is a Certified Camp Counselor and a shift manager. He is our Mr. Fix It and is known to say "I'm sure have a part for that in my garage." He knows everything from a dog's name to a dog's behaviour to who any given dog loves to play with. He has a unique bond with our Campers and is one of our most reliable Camp Counselors. |

a Alayna with Tate & Bowie |
Alayna is our Camp Scout, which means she handles the marketing stuff. She takes care of our monthly newsletter, our website, and our community visits and events. She has been with Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake for almost a year and has several years experience working in the pet care industry. While most of her duties have little to do with working hands-on with our Campers, her favorite part of working with Camp Bow Wow is her stolen moments in the play yards with the dogs. |

Banning with Jubei & Mr. Humphrey Higgins |
Banning, a Certified Camp Counselor, has been with Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake for over a year. He is a pro at dog behavior and has a great bond with our Campers. He is a very athletic Camp Counselor, which allows him to leap play yard fences in a single bound. His favorite thing about working at Camp is giving baths. He says, "bath time is the best time to love on the dogs because they are clean and nice smelling."a |

Chazz with Hessian Von Der Salzmarsch |
Chazz has been with Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake as a Certified Camp Counselor for about a year. He also works with Wasatch Wing and Clay, where we had a great Client event. He is a hunting enthusiast with the dog to prove it. His favorite moment at Camp is when you first let them out of their cabins in the morning and see all their excited faces letting you know they are ready to play! |

Marissa with Kaisar |
Besides being a lacrosse champ and a busy college student and the U, Marissa is a Certified Camp Counselor at Camp Bow Wow. She recently adopted Kaisar (formerly known as Blake) through Utah's Perfect Pointers, a rescue organization that Camp Bow Wow has the pleasure of fostering for. Marissa met Kaisar at Camp and it was love at first sight. Her favorite thing about working at Camp is getting to know all of our dogs funny personalities in the play yards. |

Dede with Sophie & Asher |
Dede is a Certified Camp Counselor and is always great to fill in when we need her. She loves being in the yard with the dogs and always has a smile on her face. Dede loves to be in Camp on those lazy Sunday afternoons when the dogs are worn out from a weekend of play and ready to settle in for some serious cuddle time. |
Rhianna with Tess |
Rhianna is one of our great weekend and holiday Certified Camp Counselors. She has worked with dogs for years and has a great calming influence on the pups in the play yard. Her favorite moment while working at Camp was over Thanksgiving break when she lost her voice. She was trying to say "good dog" to a Camper and the dog was so startled by her croaky voice that she jumped straight in the air. Rhianna loves our Campers with their funny personalities. |

Scott with River |
Scott is a rare face around Camp but he saves us when we need him. He is a Certified Camp Counselor with many years experience owning and working with dogs. He loves working at Camp and is always glad to come in and catch up with old pals. Scott is known for calculating the day's dog count by writing a complicated math formula on the board that makes the rest of us feel mathematically inadequate. Thanks, Scott. |

John with Nike |
John started at Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake in the early days as a Certified Camp Counselor. He was kind enough to come back and help us through the busy holiday rush and decided to stay on. He is great with the dogs and even at the end of a long shift he is smiling and thrilled to be playing with puppies for his job. Our favorite quote from John is "this job is so fun!" |
Hyrum with Bauer |
Hyrum might look tough but he is a softy when it comes to the pups at Camp. He is a Certified Camp Counselor. He is quite and reserved but he is great with the dogs and they love him. Hyrum is great with our new dogs and our less outgoing dogs. He has a way of helping them feel comfortable in the play yard. |
David with Lucy |
You may have heard David's boisterous voice in the play yards when you come to pick up your pup. David is an enthusiastic Certified Camp Counselor with a life long love for dogs. He can happily coax timid dogs out of their shell and can calm the craziest of our young pups. |
Katie with Buck |
Katie joined the Camp Bow Wow team in the Fall of 2010 and is already one of our go-to gals. Despite having relatively little dog experience, she is great with the dogs and forms bonds with our campers easily. She can always be counted on to fill in in a pinch and she is one of our hardest workers. She is full of energy and always has a smile. Even on the craziest day, you know you can count on Katie with her laid-back and fun personality. |

Julie with Lolli |
Julie is a bundle of energy and a dog lover as well. She recently adopted her first dog, a spunky Chihuahua named Lollipop (Lolli for short). She loves to play with the dogs in the yard and is a whiz at understanding dog behavior and recognizing our dogs unique personalities, despite her short experience in the dog world. Julie is very personable and always has a story about the day's dogs to share. |
