Campers of the Month

Bob is a typical happy Lab with one distinct advantage in life: Bob has a great family!  Bob is one of the kids and he LOVES his kids!  Every day when the family comes to pick up Bob from Day Care, the kids run in the front door and spot Bob on the camera, yelling "Bob! There's Bob! Hi Bob!"  He is always greeted with so much enthusiasm its a wonder he wants to leave his family at all.  But, being the well adjusted boy that he is, he is happy to come play and happy to head out to his loving home, tired but happy.  One of our Camp Counselors has said, "If I was a dog, I would want to be Bob."

Buster Sue is a beautiful Whippet.  Like all good sighthounds she is a little more reserved in the play yards and is content to follow the other Campers around.  You won't find her wrestling with the other dogs in the little dog yard, but you know she approves of you when she becomes your shadow. She loves people but has a few favorite dogs as well.  One of her favorite Camp Counselors is Vanessa, one of our newer counselors.  Vanessa is not only talented with dogs but has a knack for drawing as well.  Check out this great photo of Buster Sue next to the drawing Vanessa did for her.  We think it captures her perfectly!

Employee Dog of the Month

JoJo is the beautiful face you see in the office at Camp.  She belongs to Sharon, the owner of Camp Bow Wow South Salt Lake - or maybe Sharon belongs to JoJo.  JoJo is an older girl but she can still keep up with the best of the young guys in agility.  Sharon and JoJo competed in a DOCNA dog agility trial in Moab, Utah the first weekend in March.  JoJo entered all of the 12 runs for the weekend and that wonderful 9 year old girl got 3 qualifying runs on Saturday and all 5 qualifying runs on Sunday. She finished three Specialist titles in Standard, Gamblers and Jumpers!  She just needs 2 more qualifying runs in snakes and ladders to finish her entire Specialist level. Fun fun weekend!  Agility is a great way to connect with your dog and give them a job to do.  Check with us and we can connect you with some great agility trainers.

Foster Dogs of the Month

Rocky: I'm a cute little guy about 10 months old with lots and lots of energy. I was in the shelter way too long so I need some time to run around and then I settle down nicely. I can even "sit" for a little while, but I don't stay for very long because I'm very interested in everything that's going on - even when I'm sitting nicely I like to look around. I love to play at Camp and I am ready for my brand new home!

Christie: I'm a pretty, tiny girl, about 6-7 months old. I love to play and I love to be loved. I'm very good and very fast. I don't jump on my people (much) and I'm very good about not getting on the furniture. I'm good with all other dogs and my rescue woman is making sure that I'll be good with cats, too. I'm never going to be a big girl. I'm only 27 lbs. and might get to be 37 lbs when I'm all grown up.  If you are interested in me, call (801) 288-2275!
