About Us:
Leader of our pack, Sharon Opfermann has worked as the Human Resource Manager at Jones Waldo, Holbrook, & McDonough Law Firm for many years. Sharon loved her job, but wanted a workplace where she could bring her dogs, JoJo & Nike. She came across Camp Bow Wow and its Franchise opportunities. So, Sharon left the corporate world and decided to open up her own Camp Bow Wow here in Salt Lake City.
Camp Bow Wow is a nationwide franchise with over 200 locations opening up through out the United States. Camp Bow Wow has taken the traditional kennel concept and transformed it into the most sophisticated doggy overnight and day camp. It's where a dog can be a dog!
Our Staff:
Our Certified Camp Counselors are pawsitively great! These guys spend all day at camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening watching over our campers. They give our campers lots of love, and take care of those special request, from medicines, extra treats, or special care. Yip Yip Horray for our Camp Counselors!!

Good-bye to our Front Desk Greeter:
Perhaps you've seen this face jumping up behind the front desk to greet you! This is Misty VI, a service dog in training for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). CCI provides highly-trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge. Misty came to Utah in November, 2008 as an eight week old puppy, to be raised by a wonderful volunteer puppy raiser (Amy, who works at Camp!). Amy has been a volunteer puppy raiser for CCI since 1998, and has raised 6 dogs. Amy is a great asset to our Camp, and we pawsitively adore her! She has done a wonderful job at raising Misty who we know will move on to do great things! Misty leaves in a few weeks for the next stage of her Advanced Training in Oceanside, California. She will be trained by professional trainers for six months and, if she passes the rigorous physical exams and training, she would graduate with a disabled partner later this year. Join us in wishing Misty good luck at "Canine College", and thanks to Sharon and Camp Bow Wow for their support in this stage of Misty's training. Bone Voyage!
