The Game Plan

The premier dog training program from the largest pet care providers in North America has arrived at Camp Bow Wow - Greenville!

Do you love your pup, but just wish that he or she

• behaved better on leash
• understood basic obedience commands
• didn't jump on you or others
• wouldn't threaten to bite around toys or food
• didn't growl, bark, or cower at other dogs and people
• would just do what you wanted

If you need a little help to teach your dog obedience skills or improve behavior issues, then Bow Wow Behavior Buddies is for you. We can help you teach a good dog to be a great dog!

Meet our Trainer

Group Classes

Beginner Dog Obedience will include the following lessons:

• "sit"
• "down"
• "come"
• walk on a loose leash (not pulling)
• appropriate manners at the door

Intermediate Dog Obedience will expand on the Beginner Obedience class, so dogs must either pass the beginner course or be evaluated by Patty before joining. The following lessons are included:

• reinforcing all the lessons above
• "place" behavior
• "leave it"
• working walk

Clicks for Tricks will show dogs and humans a variety of different training methods used to teach dogs "fun" stuff. A clicker is required for this class. Possible tricks could include:

• shaking hands
• rolling over
• sitting up
• whatever you and your pup dream up!

Walking Workshop will make walking your dog on a leash so much easier! This class will help improve the dogs' on-leash walking manners through teaching the humans

• to send a consistent message to their dogs
• how to react to dogs pulling on or fighting the leash

Puppy Socials will provide puppies 8-12 weeks of age the opportunity to grow into well-adjusted adult dogs by exposing them to

• other dogs
• strangers
• unusual sounds & stimuli
• a new environment
• very basic obedience training commands

Humans can also ask about "puppy" issues, like housetraining, puppy biting, etc.

Private Dog Training Lessons

We also offer private training, so instruction can be specifically tailored to fit your situation and your priorities. Patty will observe your dog's behavior and get feedback from you, then customize and help enact a training plan.

Individualized one-on-one training is also available for obedience and general training. Options include the following:

Private Obedience lessons

• Board-and-train (for when your dog is boarding at Camp Bow Wow)
• Play -and-train (for when your dog is attending daycare at Camp Bow Wow)
• Behavior modification (B-mod) training is available for behavioral concerns, including (but not limited to) the following:
• resource guarding (guarding food, toys, etc.)
• on-leash reactivity
• dog aggression
• aggression or fear towards humans
