Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and non-traditional overnight boarding facility, which means that your best friend is busy with camp activities during the day, and retires to his or her cabin only at bedtime and mealtime.
During the day, your little camper will have the time of his or her life playing all day in our safe, clean, climate controlled, indoor/outdoor play yards. Camp Bow Wow has a number of separate play areas so that Campers with similar interests (constant play or simply a spectator), temperament, age, and size can play together. Because Pittsburgh weather can leave something to be desired, all the campers enjoy large connected indoor and outdoor play areas so that they can play outside when it's sunny and warm, or come indoors whenever their feet start to get too cold or too wet.
Your pup is welcome to stay as an overnight camper or a day camper depending on your needs. For overnighters, when bedtime rolls around, campers will be tucked into their cozy cabins with a campfire treat while the counselors lull them into dreamland with classical music. To make sure our Campers do not get homesick, we welcome you to bring a little piece of home with them, such as their favorite toy, pillow, or blanket (the other camper’s will never know!).
Wondering what your pup is doing while you’re away? With our online camper cams in every play area, you can keep an eye on him or her from your office or from the other side of the world. You might see him or her catching some rays in the noonday sun; cooling off in the doggie-dip pool, or playing "can't catch me" games with the other campers. Rest assured, whatever the activity your pup will be well taken care of and having fun.
When vacation time is over, the Camp Showers are located on site for grooming use so your camper will look their best when mommy and daddy come to take him or her home!

The Staff of Camp Bow Wow® Pittsburgh-Southwest
These guys spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over our campers. They are the ones who give out the special "Campfire" tasty treats each night before lights out, and tuck each camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Camp Bow Wow® cabin. Where each cabin has a comfy bed to curl up on in a climate controlled atmosphere (sorry, no mint on the pillow). Campers from the same household can even stay together in the same cabin.
They run the camp web cam monitoring and professional security systems that make sure all our Campers are happy and safe! They are the ones who serve our Campers every day, and take care of those special requests for your Camper, from medicines, extra treats, or special care for older pups and other requests.
Camp Bow Wow® has a strict 15 to 1, Camper to Camp Counselor ratio so that your Camper is always supervised. Every one of our Camp Counselors is pet first aid certified as well, keeping your loved one safe.
Our Camp also has professionally trained Camp Groomers who can make sure your Camper heads for home looking his or her best!
