Camp Bow Wow Bedford Heights is excited to offer the following services:
Daycare - Bring your dog to Camp Bow Wow for a day at camp! Early drop off and late pick up allow you to focus on your daily routine while your dog plays with our Certified Camp Counselors and his favorite canine friends. We'll find the play group that best fits your dog's personality. You'll find the schedule that best suits your dog's needs - a few days a week, a few days a month, or just as needed. One thing is for sure, at the end of the day, each dog goes home tired and happy. That's good for him, and good for you, too!
Overnight Camp (Boarding) - Bring your dog to Camp Bow Wow for an overnight stay! Overnight campers stay busy with camp activities during the day and go to their cabins only at meal time and bedtime. Siblings can share an oversized cabin to make it more like home. Evening "campfire" treats and soothing music at bedtime are always included in your dog's stay. All-day play, private cabins and plenty of canine and human contact help your pup sleep soundly at Camp Bow Wow while you are away.
We encourage you to bring in bedding, toys and treats; whatever you feel will make your pup feel at home. Not only do we want your pup to be comfortable, we want you to have peace of mind leaving your pup in our care.
We feed our campers breakfast, lunch and dinner according to your specifications; your food or ours. We administer medications and give each pup a kiss goodnight at no extra charge.
Want to get Started? Schedule an Interview?
The first step is to call us to schedule your FREE interview day. To do the interview, your dog must meet the following requirements:
- Must be four months or older
- Must be spayed or neutered if age is six months or older
- Must be current on all vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella)
- Must generally be in good health
Interview Day
We need to meet each new camper on an individual basis to make sure that Camp Bow Wow is right for them. The interview allows us to see how your dog interacts with other dogs, and how he or she deals with people when you are not present. The interview is a full FREE day of daycare to allow your dog to go through a typical day's routine. This gives us plenty of time to get to know your dog and learn his or her play styles. Your dog will play all morning with his new friends and then take a break during lunch time from 11:30 - 1:00 to allow us to interview him in a cabin so we can make sure he will be comfortable when he comes back to board, and also to give him a break from all the activity. At 1:00 he will go back in the play yards and play all afternoon until you pick him up. Feel free to bring a lunch or treats for him that day if you would like. Interviews are by appointment only, please call 440-786-3647 to schedule yours.
On the day of your scheduled interview (remember it's a free day of day care for your pup), please make sure you bring the following:
- A veterinarian's verification that your dog is current on his vaccinations for rabies, distemper and bordetella. We cannot interview a dog without this verification. (You can also have your vet fax us a copy at 440-786-9547)
- Name and phone numbers of an emergency contact (someone not traveling with you)
- A quick-release collar (the kind with the black plastic clasp that snaps together rather than a buckle) No worries if you forget, we have some at camp that can be used for the day...
- Your dog!
Grooming -your dog can go home looking and smelling clean after one of our special baths. Our staff are also trained to trim or Dremel your dog's nails.
We will need a Camper Application on file for each of your dogs. You are welcome to fill out the application here at the Camp on the morning of the interview, or if you would like to do it in advance, click on the link above, print the application, fill it out and bring it with you. That will save a few minutes on the morning of the Interview. Once your dog is registered and passes his Interview, you can make reservations for day care and overnight stays online or by phone.

About our Camp Counsoler's here at Camp Bow Wow Bedford Heights
These guys spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over our campers. They are the ones who give out the special "Campfire" tasty treats each night before lights out, and tuck each camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Camp Bow Wow® cabin. Where each cabin has a comfy bed to curl up on in a climate controlled atmosphere (sorry, no mint on the pillow). Campers from the same household can even stay together in the same cabin.
They run the camp web cam monitoring and professional security systems that make sure all our Campers are happy and safe!
They are the ones who serve our Campers every day, and take care of those special requests for your Camper, from medicines, extra treats, or special care for older pups and other requests.
