Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and non-traditional boarding facility which means the pups are busy with camp activities during the day and are in their cabins only at mealtime and bedtime.

Our campsite consists of 7,000 square feet of indoor, climate-controlled space and 800 square feet of outdoor space for short hiking trips. The total campsite is made up of 52 cabins so that each Camper has his or her private space (although siblings are allowed to stay in the same cabin) including a comfy bed and private dining. To make sure our Campers do not get homesick, we welcome them to bring a little piece of home with them, such as their favorite toy, pillow, or blanket (the other camper’s will never know!).

Inside CBW Lawrenceville you will find four play areas so that Campers with similar interests (constant play or simply a spectator), temperament, age, and size can play together. The outdoor campgrounds are separated as well and offer a variety of Lil’ Tykes toys to play on.

The Camp Showers are located on-site as well in case a Camper needs a bath, trim, or nails done before returning home.

Regulations

For all new campers, we start by verifying their health requirements and then we schedule a pre-stay interview.

The health requirements include that each pup:

~ is spayed or neutered if 6 months or older
~ is current on their Rabies and Distemper vaccinations
~ is in generally good health and social with humans & other pups;
~ is on a topical flea & tick treatment such as Frontline or Advantix.

~ has had a Bordatella vaccination within the last 6 months (if not, this vaccination would need to be admininstered and a 7 day waiting period would follow before coming in)

If all of these apply to your pup, we can schedule an interview immediately. Some vets administer the Bordatella vaccination annually, some are semi-annual - so please check your records to confirm because it does vary and will affect our ability to complete the interview.
Once the interview is successfully completed, we can confirm your boarding reservation. After the interview, all new campers are welcome to come to day camp and/or board at any time.

What you will need for the interview process:

1. Verification of up-to-date vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella (within the last 6 months)

2. The name, address, and phone numbers of an emergency contact and your Veterinarian

3. A quick release collar and an I.D. Tag.

That's it! Just don't forget to bring your social, spayed/neutered Camper with you when you come to visit so we can meet.

Our convenient, extended hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 –7:00 p.m. We interview our potential Campers Monday- Saturday but let us know when you plan to come so we can spend plenty of time with you. If you would like to take a tour, stop by anytime during our normal business hours – we’re “paws-itive” you’ll love what you see!

 Camp History

Our “tail” is not unlike the other Camp Bow Wow owners and we find that we are definitely in good company. We had always dreamed of owning our own business and when pondering “what” that business should be, we kept coming back to the dogs.Eli, Frieda, Jessie, & Liberty

We began a search for an existing kennel but couldn’t find anything to really get excited about. Just when we started to give up, we found Camp Bow Wow on the internet. We traveled to Colorado to tour the existing locations and were positive that we had found the right opportunity for us. Camp Bow Wow provided us everything we were looking for – owning our own business, being with the dogs (which makes us very happy), and providing a valuable community service, not only to those dogs fortunate enough to have a loving home, but also to those looking for their very own human by fostering rescued dogs.

That’s how we came to own a Camp Bow Wow, but we also want to point out what we think makes us different. As long-time dog-owners and serious travelers for many years, we struggled with leaving our dogs, Jessie and Liberty (and Prissy cat) with strangers who would make sure they had food and water every day, but would not treat them with the love and attention that we provide on a daily basis. They would often come home sick, having lost weight, and VERY smelly. We would always shake our heads and wonder why it was so difficult to find a kennel that we felt good about.

When we saw Camp Bow Wow for the first time, we were blown away! Everyone was smiling, the dogs were frolicking and not a dog odor to be found – how could this be??

We were so impressed that customer service, cleanliness and safety were priorities – finally, a business operating the way we envisioned it should be.

As you can imagine, Jessie and Liberty were our first customers at Camp Bow Wow Lawrenceville, but we’re also looking forward to adding your special furry friend to our Camp Bow Wow family.
