Ever feel like your dog rules you and the house, and your personal belongings have become their daily toys? Well, perhaps we can help you with a game plan designed to turn your bench warmer into an All Star!
Bow Wow Behavior Buddies is our premier dog behavior and training program. Behavior Buddies was created to help you modify your canine player's behavior issues, teach a new puppy the game, or make an already good dog an MVP!
Your Certified Bow Wow Behavior Buddies trainer will design a game plan to get your pup to All Star status! Our certified trainers were taught by top national behavior experts with a focus on a variety of proven training methodologies. We combine our extensive knowledge of dog behavior with your willingness to create a great relationship with your pup to create a slam dunk!
Together we will coach your dog, and you, to a winning game through a program based on respect, rewards and results!

The Game Plan
Every dog is different – there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to training. Our Behavior Buddies trainers specialize in assessing canine behavior then choose the appropriate tools from a vast toolbox to change behaviors and create manageable and obedient dogs!

We offer these in a variety of ways:
Locker Room (Play n Train or Board n Train)
Locker Room sessions take place at Camp Bow Wow during your dog's day camp or boarding stay
Add any Locker Room sessions can be scheduled if your dog is at camp during the day or staying overnight with us. If you're interested in group classes and one-on-ones without the day camp or boarding, check out your options below! Melissa requires payment by cash or check.
Scrimmages (Group Classes)
Level I – Basic Puppy (10 weeks to 4 month) or Basic Adult (Over 4 months)
This class is designed to teach your dog basic manners and commands, such as sit, down, leave it, walking nicely on a leash, stay, coming when called and not jumping on people. You will also address common behavior issues such as nipping, chewing, digging, barking and housetraining. Classes are six weeks long, one hour per week. Proof of vaccinations required.
Level II – Advanced (prereq of Level I/trainer approval)
This level moves your dog from the basics to adding distractions and distance to behaviors. You will also learn more advanced behaviors such as heel, go to your bed, coming when called with distractions, and sit/stay with distractions. Classes are six weeks long, one hour per week. Proof of vaccinations required.
Level III – Public Polishing/CGC Preparation (prereq of Level II/trainer approval)
This class is designed to make your dog well-behaved in public, or to prepare you for the CGC or therapy dog test. Your dog will learn how to sit politely by your side for petting, greet a friendly stranger, heel through a crowd, heel politely toward someone new and deal with advanced distractions. Classes are six weeks long, one hour per week. Proof of vaccinations required.
Leash Walking
If your dog loves to drag you down the street, we have designed a service that specifically helps you with leash walking. This can be done one-on-one with a trainer, or you can have a trainer teach your dog how to walk on a leash while they are Boarding or attending Day Camp. Speak to your Certified Behavior Buddies Trainer about the specific options that are available. Proof of vaccinations required.
Private Training
Please remember:
- Your dog must have proof of vaccinations
- Only one dog per person
- Pre-registration required

- Hands-on instruction in behavior modification and correction methods
- Training around specific behavior issues:
- Aggression towards people and/or other animals

- Modification practices for high drive behaviors
