Camp Bow Wow® Raleigh / Durham Doggy Daycare and Boarding Facility

Camp Bow Wow Raleigh / Durham differs from traditional dog kennels because we are an upscale dog boarding facility designed just for “man’s best friend”! We give your pups the freedom to play all day with other “campers” or to just hang loose and relax with our certified counselors. Both doggy day care and overnight dog boarding are available. Our camping facility is over 7200 square feet and has five large indoor play areas and five connected outdoor play areas. We have climbing equipment and “paw pools” to ease the summer heat. Our camp is climate controlled and all pups have their own spacious cabin with a comfy cot and a fleece blanket for snoozing. (Multiple campers from the same family can be lodged together, if desired.) For overnight campers, soft soothing music will be provided to ensure a good night’s sleep! Unlike most pet hotels, dog kennel and dog daycare facilities, we do not charge extra for special needs such as personalized feeding, medications, or individual playtimes and we have a special area set aside for older dogs or very young dogs.

At Camp your dogs reap the benefits of exercise and socialization while having lots of fun romping & playing with their canine friends. Your pup will "Play all day and snooze the night away."®  Rest assured knowing your camper is well taken care of at all times whether you are gone for a day, over night or for an extended period of time. Your pet is a part of your family and we want them to be a part of ours too.

Your Dog Receives:

  • All Day Play, Snooze The Night Away®
  • Large Indoor & Outdoor Play Areas
  • Spacious Cabins with Comfy Cots
  • Live Camper Cams®
  • Bedtime Campfire Tasty Treats
  • Certified Camp Counselors®

And you receive peace of mind knowing your Camper is well taken care of while you are away

Our Red Cross certified Camp Counselors spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over our campers. They are the ones who give out the special "Campfire" tasty treats each night before lights out, and tuck each camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Camp Bow Wow® cabin. Where each cabin has a comfy bed to curl up on in a climate controlled atmosphere (sorry, no mint on the pillow). Our cabins are the largest in the industry (small 4'x4', medium 4'x8', and large 5'x10'). Campers from the same household can even stay together in the same cabin. During the day, they monitor the play yards where we segregate by size as well as energy level. Rest assured, your chihuahua won't be with the Great Danes, nor will your twelve year old be rough housing with the yearlings!

They run the camp web cam monitoring and professional security systems that make sure all our Campers are happy and safe!

Our counselors are the ones who serve our Campers every day, and take care of those special requests for your Camper. From medicines, extra treats, or special care for older pups and other requests, we are here to provide whatever the guardian would like for their beloved family member. Come in and see us, we look forward to meeting you!

Get out and enjoy all Durham has to offer, and leave your companion with us! They'll have a fantastic time and be tired when you pick them up.

Come take a tour and see why tails are waggin' all over the valley. Tours are available any time during open hours.

What you can expect when your dog comes to Day Camp:

  • Even though water is always in the play yard, your dog will drink more after a hard day of play.
  • Sometimes a dog will use muscles they haven’t used in a while, so they may show signs of soreness. This usually goes away within a day.
  • Some dogs display a tenderness of their feet after a hard day of play. This should go away quickly.
  • Depending on your dog’s play style, they may be in different campgrounds throughout the day. If you cannot find your dog on the camper cams, please call us so we can direct you to the correct campground camera.
  • Many dogs who attend camp, will sleep for a full day or two, depending on their physical output during their time in camp. This is not unusual, and so long as your dog is still drinking plenty of water and eating, is not cause for alarm.
  • If your dog shows any sign of sickness after attending camp, please call us immediately. There is no food allowed in the campground, nor is there any contact with cleaning agents. If your dog does become ill after attending camp, it might be a virus that can pass from dog to dog. Just as you would alert your child’s daycare, we need to know if we have had a “bug” going through camp so we can alert other guardians. Relax. Most “bugs” are not serious in nature provided your dog has a healthy immune system. When in doubt, call your Vet and discuss with them. The safety and health of your dog comes first!
