Camp Bow Wow of Durham, Where A Dog Can Be A Dog!
Please call to schedule an interview for your dog(s) today!
Camp Bow Wow differs from traditional dog kennels because we are an upscale dog boarding facility designed just for “man’s best friend”! We give your pups the freedom to play all day with other “campers” or to just hang loose and relax with our certified counselors. Both doggy day care and overnight camp are available.
Our camping facility is over 7200 square feet and has four large indoor play areas and four connected outdoor play areas. We have climbing equipment and “paw pools” to ease the summer heat. Our camp is climate controlled and all pups have their own spacious cabin with a comfy cot and a fleece blanket for snoozing. (Multiple campers from the same family can be lodged together, if desired.) For overnight campers, soft soothing music will be provided to ensure a good night’s sleep! Unlike most pet hotels, dog kennel and dog daycare facilities, we do not charge extra for special needs such as personalized feeding, medications, or individual playtimes and we have a special area set aside for older dogs or very young dogs.
Our Certified Camp Counselors have been trained in dog behavior and pet first aid and will constantly supervise your pup. In addition, whether you are at work or vacationing, you can check on your camper at any time by using our free web cams! (You only need access to the Internet to use these.) And bathing and nail trim services will be available to beautify your pup!
We will strive to keep Camp Bow Wow as clean and safe as possible. With this in mind, all campers must be spayed or neutered and have up-to-date vaccinations. They must also be sociable with other dogs, in overall good health and pass our camper interview. Please contact our camp for to schedule an interview and for more information.
About the Owners

We are Neil and Gloria Bleau of Durham. Gloria has lived in the Triangle area since 1978 and is a registered nurse. Neil moved here from Daytona Beach in 1994 and after many years in the business world, decided to make a change and leave corporate America behind. God knew of our enormous love for animals and opened all the doors that led us to Camp Bow Wow!! We cannot wait to care for all your furry friends!! We are the proud parents of three adorable cocker spaniels who will visit the camp on a regular basis. When you are there, look/ask for Haley (black/tan and loves kisses!), Daisy (petite blond with a not-so-petite mouth!), or Cooper (our shy red and white freckled-faced-little boy)! As we move forward through 2005, keep your eyes and ears open for Neil and Gloria’s second Camp Bow Wow to be opened somewhere in the Triangle in 2008…! Woof!
