Camp Bow Wow Springfield is located (slightly hidden) behind the corner of West Sunset & Kansas Expressway.
We have a clean 7,500 sq ft indoor/outdoor climate-controlled facility. Providing 5500 Sq. Ft. inside and 2500 Sq. Ft. outside your pup is able to run freely indoors and outdoors as they please! Our facility is complete with easliy accesible Doggy Web Cams so you can take a sneak-peek at the fun your dog is having while you are away.
We provide a safe and fun environment for your pup to play and socialize with other dogs. Overnight campers eat and sleep in their private, spacious cabins and enjoy tasty campfire treats at bedtime feeling nice and comfortable after a funfilled day of playing with their friends! Our well-trained staff is ready to provide lots of TLC to your best friend.
Each camper is required to have an interview before he or she is able to stay at camp. By doing this we are able to interact with your dog on an individual level to see what play area best suits them! The area your dog spends their time at camp depends on their temperment, size, and age.
Book early for holidays to ensure your camper has a place to stay!!

The Staff Of Camp Bow Wow Springfield

Our Camp Counselors spend all day at camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over and loving our campers. On weekends, they come in twice a day for 3-4 hours to let the campers out to play and give them much loved attention! Our camp counselors are very flexible and open to requests such as medications and special feedings.Camp counselors also run the web cameras and professional security systems that keep all our campers happy and safe!
Each Camper will be assigned his or her private Cabin (although siblings are allowed to stay in the same cabin, provided they can eat together) including a comfy cot and private dining. To make sure our Campers do not get homesick, we welcome you to bring a little piece of home with them, such as their favorite toys, pillow, or blanket (the other camper’s will never know!). We recommend bringing your dogs' usual food, so as not to upset their stomach. If you prefer we feed our food, please let us know. We feed Nature's Variety Prairie Chicken & Brown Rice.
Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and a non-traditional boarding kennel, which means the pups are busy with camp activities during the day and go to their cabins only at mealtime and bedtime.
Inside Camp Bow Wow, you will find several play areas so that Campers with similar interests (constant play or simply a spectator), temperament, age, and size can play together. The outdoor campgrounds are separated as well and offer a spacious log cabin and swimming pools (weather providing) to play in. When bedtime rolls around, campers will be tucked into their cozy cabins with a campfire treat while the counselors lull them into dreamland with soft music.
The Camp Showers are located on-site as well in case a Camper needs a bath, ears cleaned, or nails done before returning home. Baths are $20 (ears cleaned if needed, or per request of owner), nail trim is $5. Make sure to let us know when you plan to pick your camper up, so that they'll be clean & dry for when you arrive.
Camp Interview Process
All prospective canine campers must complete an interview process before being accepted for boarding and day camp. The interview is to make sure that all campers are social and will fit in with everyone. Open play, such as we have here at camp, is not for every dog.
Before bringing your camper for his or her free interview day, please have your vet fax your dogs' vaccination records to us. (417-882-8033) When you arrive, we will have you fill out some paper work so that we can find out all about our new camper. You can also find this paper work on our website, and have it all ready when you come in. Interviews are conducted Monday - Thursday between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Once all of the paper work is in order, we will take the new camper to an empty playground for evaluation. When the camper appears comfortable in the new surroundings, we will introduce the other campers, one at a time, to your dog. We like to keep interview dogs for at least 3 hours, this allows us to watch for any aggression, or undue stress to the dog. (Most dogs love camp immediately, some take a while longer to warm up. If this is the situation, we may have your dog come in for another free day of day camp.)
We are happy to give tours to the owners of our new campers, so that they can see the camp living quarters. Campers over six months of age are required to be spayed or neutered. When your camper goes home, they'll receive a report card letting you know all about their day, and if they pass, you are free to make any reservations you would like!

Call 417-882-WAGS to make reservations, or send them online by emailing springfield@campbowwowusa.com
