About Us

 Meet our team:

 

Camp Owner: Ron and Karri Brunink, daughter Erin, son Ethan and dog  Bow.  The Brunink family is from Jenison and also owns and operates Servpro in Jenison.










Office Manager:  Christy is from Hudsonville.  Her dog is Smokey, a 5 year old Shih Tzu.  Christy also works for Servpro in Jenison. 

Camp Ranger: Alicia is married and has a 8 month old daughter. She also has two dogs and three cats. Before coming to Camp Bow Wow, Alicia worked for the Humane Society of Kent County as the Shelter Manager. She also worked for Haven Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician. Her favorite thing about working at Camp Bow Wow is seeing how excited the dogs are to come and play.

Camp Scout: Lauren is 21 years old and is from Lansing, MI. While growing up in Lansing she volunteered for the Ingham County Animal Shelter. She is a student at Grand Valley State University and studies Occupational Safety and Health. In addition, Lauren is a licensed Paramedic and a certified dog trainer. She enjoys playing with her Golden Retriever puppy, Horatio, and cooking. You can find her at home baking home made dog biscuits that are for sale at Camp.

 

Camp Counselor: Amanda does two of her favorite passions; During the week, Amanda is a special education teacher at Fennville Elementary School. On the weekends you can find her at Camp Bow Wow playing with all of the different breeds of dogs. Some of her hobbies include scrapbooking, going to country concerts, and traveling. Amanda has a 5 year old Golden/Chow mix named Honey. She also has 2 cats, a 20 pound red tabby, Buffy, and a 7 yeard old callico named Callie.

Camp Counselor: Denise lives in Holland with her boyfriend Don. They share their home with Brutus, a German Shepard Mix, and 2 cats Clarice and Hannibal. She enjoys reading and going dancing with friends on the weekend.

 Camp Counselor: Samantha has two dogs, Apolla and Bo, and one cat named Sassy. Sam studies Sign Language at Baker College. Sam loves the small dogs at Camp Bow Wow!

 Camp Counselor: Anne is 20 years old and plans on attending school for Dental Hygiene.  Anne loves watching the dogs play at Camp Bow Wow, especially in the pools!.

 

 

 

Camp Groomer: Heidi is our exellent groomer here at Camp. She hails from Ohio and has only been in Michigan two years, but loves it. Heidi has 11 year old twins.She started grooming by attending the American Institue of Dog Grooming school in Ohio 20 years ago and has been grooming ever since. Heidi has worked in various areas of grooming including shops, kennels, and dog shows. Heidi has two dogs, a 4 year old Australian Shepard, and a 14 year old Sheltie.

 

Camp Counselor: Jess is 23 years old and graduated in December '08 from Cornerstone University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Jess really enjoys working at Camp Bow Wow because it gives her a chance to see all of the different dogs. Jess has a German Shepard / Black Lab mix, named Lexi, who is 1 1/2 years old. Lexi loves coming to camp. Along with Lexi, Jess has one cat named Gracie. When Jess is not working at Camp Bow Wow, she is coaching softball for Zeeland East High School and spending time with family and friends.
 

Camp Counselor: Rebecca is a 32 year old mother of 4.  Married for 11 years.  She has 2 dogs, Tinkerbell and Pete, 2 cats, Dexter and Elsie, and lots of chickens.  When I am not at Camp hanging out with the awesome dogs, I am at home hanging out with my family.

Camp Counselor: Marissa is 19 years old and is going to school to become a social worker.  She enjoys playing basketball, and reading.  Marissa has three dogs, at home, who she loves to death!  Her favorite part about Camp Bow Wow are watching the dogs in the pool.
