We had a great experience. I ended up having an emergency surgery, and they were able to keep my puppy for a few extra days, which I was extremely thankful for. I loved all of the enrichments that they had to offer for him. Being able to see him on the cameras was also a huge plus. The staff kept in contact with me and sent pictures when they could. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 is when we dropped him off, the camper we spoke with didn’t really go over anything with us. It was our first time dropping him off, and she really didn’t ask us anything about our dog for them to know. Somehow his tie ended up on another dog, and I found a picture of it on the other dog instead of ours, I’m assuming after his bath. I didn’t realize they don’t brush his hair after you pay for the bath, so he has massive knots on his ears that I’m doing everything I can to get out of, but it’s very sensitive on him. I would request for them to brush his hair and bring a brush with you if you have a long haired dog. Other than that, we will use them for all future stays.

Camp Bow Wow has ALWAYS been amazing with my Ms. Lucy! Lucy is a rescue who was badly abused before I adopted her almost 10 years ago. In saying this, she has MANY fears, anxieties, and trust issues. We travel almost an hour to receive their services for bathing, grooming, and boarding. Lucy has serious separation anxiety and they are so patient and kind with her as it is most certainly a large feat giving her the confidence that all will be okay. Lucy usually goes on strike and will not eat when left. When this happens, they will literally hand-feed her and I’m certain that makes her feel special! Their attention to her overall health and care in my opinion is second to none! Lucy usually goes everywhere with me; however, at times when she can’t, I know she’s receiving the best care at Camp Bow Wow!!! Joann Kerr-Mathews
