Camp Bow Wow -- Oak Park is now offering puppy and dog training!
We offer dog training in different settings to work with your schedule and your dog's specific problem areas. Click the links below to navigate our new training site and to watch videos of Camp Bow Wow Behavior Buddies graduates.
**Our next session of group training classes will start on February 22, 2011. This class will be held each Tuesday evening for 1 hour for six weeks. Spaces fill up quickly, so if you are interested, please call us at 708-848-2267 to reserve your spot in the class!!**
Training Programs
Group Dog Training Classes
Do you enjoy working with your dog but need some guidance on how to teach them basic obedience? Would you and your dog benefit from learning and practicing commands when there are other dogs or distractions present? Then our group classes are right for you and your dog.
Puppy Basic Obedience

(For puppies 8 weeks to 5 months old)

Dog Obedience
Group Class
(For dogs 5 months or older)
Training and Issues Covered:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay/Release
- Door Manners
- Loose Leash
- Walking Working Walk
- Going to "Place"
- Finding the right training equipment
Private Sessions
Does your dog have a specific behavior problem that you need help with? Do you need some tips and assistance teaching your dog basic obedience but your schedule doesn't work well for weekly classes? Are your dog's issues only a problem in your home? Do you have two or more dogs that need some training? A one-on-one private lesson would be best for you and your dog(s).
1-hour session at Camp Bow Wow or in your home dog training*
Private lessons are one-on-one with our certified trainer and can be scheduled at your convenience.
Behavior and training issues that usually require private lessons:
- Leash Aggression Pulling on Leash
- Food/Toy Guarding Jumping Up
- Problem Barking
- Aggression towards dogs or people
*If you live more than 3 miles from Camp, additional fee may be added. Prices effective 6/15/10 and may be changed without notice. No refunds after the first session or class.
House Training
If you are unsure on how to train your dog where to "go potty", we recommend our house training package.
Two 45-minute sessions in your home*

Play & Train
Day Camp plus 30 minutes training for 10 weekdays in a row.
Board & Train
Overnight dog boarding plus 30 minutes training each day for 10 nights in a row.

10 sessions are the minimum for basic obedience training or difficult behavioral issues. More training may be required depending on your dog's issues. Includes 15 minute phone consultation with trainer before booking and 30 minute in-person training at completion.
