Indoor Play Areas
Camp Bow Wow McHenry has 3 indoor play areas that lead to 3 outdoor play areas so our Campers can roam in and out as they choose all day long! This also allows us to divide the dogs by size and activity level to provide a safe play area for all our furry friends.
Outdoor Play Areas
During the summer we break out the Pup Pools so those with an urge can SPLASH! We also have a shade structure so if your pooch likes to lounge outside, he can find the perfect spot to lay down. And then there are those who love to work on their tan!
Makin' New Friends At Camp
All dogs agree that Camp Bow Wow is the place to be! This is the place where your dog can romp and play and make new friends and go home exhausted. Your furry pal will have a Dog Gone Great Time while you are away!

Camp Bow Wow Mardi Dawg
in New Orleans
The last weekend in September I had the most amazing opportunity to meet Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer, at our Camp Bow Wow Mardi Dawg annual franchise meeting held in New Orleans. He was an incredible speaker and so much fun. He did a book signing for all of us, so I was able to get my copy of "Cesar's Way" signed by him! This photo was taken at the airport where a bunch of us girls saw him walking by and couldn't resist the urge to talk with him. (OK, maybe it was a little stalker-like, but we were unable to control ourselves!) He was so very nice and chatted with us for a while as we all waited for our flights home. How cool is that??
Camp Bow Wow McHenry Wins the Safety Award!
Every year at our annual franchise meeting we have an awards dinner where they give away several awards including Best in Show to the top Camp. This year they had a new Best in Class award for Safety. I am so proud to say that out of the 44 newly opened Camps this year, Camp Bow Wow McHenry was selected as the winner of this year's Safety Award! To me, this is the most prestigious award because it means that we run a clean & safe Camp, which is really what matters the most. Safety is THE #1 priority in our Camp and myself and all of my staff never let it slide. This is a great follow-up to our first corporate evaluation we had back in June where we were the first Camp ever to earn a 100% on the evaluation! We work so hard to run a great Camp. When it comes down to it, it's all about the dogs, and we make sure it's clean and safe for them 100% of the time.

Howl-o-ween Spooktacular!
THANK YOU to all who attended our
1st Annual Howl-o-ween Spooktacular!
It was a HUGE success! We hope you enjoyed touring the Camp and joining in on all the fun. We raised just over $1100 doing baths, massages, caricatures, and photos of your dogs. I cannot thank everyone enough for celebrating with us and helping us raise this wonderful donation that we will be giving to Save-A-Pet (www.save-a-pet-il.org) and As Good as Gold Golden Retriever Rescue of Northern Illinois (www.asgoodasgold.org).
Howl-o-ween Costume Contest Winners!

Our first place winners are Toby & Murphy dressed as fishermen along with their Mom & Dad -- can you believe these costumes? They even have their basket and fishing pole ready to go! Our second place winner was Barkley dressed as Yoda -- how cute is this dog?! Taking third place we have Lucy, Maggie & Charlie dressed as the Three Little Pigs, and let me tell you, they are quite the threesome!

We only had a few entries in this contest... maybe it's hard to admit that you might look like your dog!! Check out these cute pictures. In first place we have Willie and his dad, second place is Tug with his brother, and third place is Jinxie with his brother. How cute are they?

Get a picture of your dog with Santa or bring your kids and get a great shot of everyone with Santa in front of the tree. We will have a cute Christmas back drop and a jolly old Santa sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. Your pictures will be provided on CD for your printing convenience. All for a $10 donation that will go to Save-A-Pet in Grayslake. Stop in for refreshments, a quick pic, and take a hike through the Camp if you haven't had a chance to see it yet, or bring a friend and show off where your dog stays and plays.
