Kayla

Meet Kayla!

Kayla, one of our two "lead" counselors in charge of operations in the play yards, didn't realize she'd become a specialist in canine portraiture when she started here about a year ago, but she now takes all the pix of the new campers as well as the terrific Halloween photos on our Facebook page.  It's not always so easy getting those great shots - even though we do have the best looking models in the world!  They can be squirmier than your average supermodel.

Kayla grew up in Broomfield and now lives in Westminster with two dogs of her own: Diego, a 3-year-old blue pit bull who loves everyone , and Ace, a 4-year-old cattle dog who will do anything for a treat! Kayla just graduated from CU in May with a degree in architectural design and also enjoys "designing" yummy baked goods and exploring mountain "architecture" on her snowboard!

hilary

Meet Hilary!

Hilary, has been with us at Camp since 2009.  She's one of our lead counselors and if you take a peek at her with the pooches, it's easy to see why...Campers love her!

Hilary is a Colorado native with a biomedical science degree from CSU.  She's hoping to get into Physician's Assistant school.  In the meantime, she enjoys acting as one of our canine assistants.

Outside of Camp, Hilary loves to run.  Inside Camp, she loves Sydney (who she's pictured with) along with all of the other pups!

Meet Cassie!

Cassie, dreams of traveling the world with the Peace Corps, but for now is thrilled to be traveling the play yards with our "Paws Corps", selflessly delivering belly rubs to those in need.

She also does similar work at the Boulder Humane Society where she's been volunteering for six years.

Cassie grew up in Boulder and hopes to start classes at CU this fall studying International Affairs.  Her family owns two English Springer Spaniels.

Cassie has been part of our staff for about two months now.  Her favorite part of being a Camp Counselor is getting to know all the different dogs and their unique personalities.

Patrice

Meet Patrice!

Patrice plays the guitar in her spare time but when she's at camp, it's all about harmonizing with the dogs - a skill she has in spades.  In fact, Patrice is hoping to become a professional dog trainer when she graduates from CU.  She's majoring in psychology in college, a field she'll no doubt find critical in relating to pooches - and their parents.  She grew up in Lakewood with two Australian Shepherds, Riley and Brie.  In her 'spare' time, Patrice volunteers at the Humane Society with their STAR program for training dogs.

T

Meet T.J.!

T.J. plans on joining the Marines once he graduates from CU.  In the meantime, he's practicing doggy drills with our Campers, though they're more a canine corp of love than a well-oiled defense machine.  T.J.'s studying International Affairs and completing ROTC.

Though he grew up with golden retrievers, he doesn't have a dog of his own at home right now so he really enjoys getting his doggy fix at Camp!

Trinity

Meet Trinity!

Trinity, grew up in Georgia surrounded by horses, dogs and birds. She has a Masters in Geophysics but is currently using her fascination with natural phenomena in Camp by studying the electromagnetic fields produced by lots and lots of frenetic dog energy!

In her time away from Camp, Trinity works at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy as a lesson assistant and horse trainer, working with disabled children and adults.

teresa

Meet Teresa!

Teresa followed her family out here about a year ago from Baltimore and joined our crew about six months later. Next to dogs, she loves hiking, biking, and being outdoors.

Teresa is one devoted Counselor. On the day before her shift on our last big snowstorm, she was pet-sitting for a woman who had her use her convertable sports car during her stay at the house. Not sure how the car would handle in the snow, Teresa camped out in our parking lot at work to make sure she would not miss her opening shift the next morning. Now thats dedication!

Isacc

Meet Isaac!

Isaac is taking a year off of school at CU and filling it with dogs.  He grew up in Michigan with collies that came from a breeder in Canada.  He's no stranger to cold weather and warm puppy hugs!  He's really interested in exploring all the different breeds of Campers we have in the play yards and their respective personalities.

Beyond our yards, he loves snowboarding and rock climbing.
