Home Buddies by Camp Bow Wow® Tampa Northeast is owned by Kelly Hatchell. She and her husband Glen were each veterans of corporate America until they both found themselves out of a job in 2009.  There were three things they knew they wanted: (1) to work together, and for themselves; (2) to hire others, which would make a small improvement in the Tampa job market; and (3) to have their pets with them as often as possible.  These three desires lead Kelly and Glen to Home Buddies and Bow Wow Behavior Buddies!

They have--separately and together--had a vast array of animals including dogs (puppies to seniors), cockatiels, cats, fish, turtles, rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs.  Currently, they share their home with Jamaica, a black cat who showed up in the backyard and adopted Glen one morning in early 2009; Hamell, a male American Shelter Dog (mutt) they adopted from the Humane Society of Tampa in late 2009; Mewes, a feral kitten who is feral no more (and no longer a kitten); and Willow, who was adopted from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in late 2011.    Many of the pictures you will see on the website are animals they have owned.  They miss them all, especially Dixie Chicken, Mocha, and T-Bone.  

Kelly and Glen are both Red Cross Pet First Aid certified as are all Home Buddies caregivers.  Glen is also a certified dog trainer through the Bow Wow Behavior Buddies training program.  To read more about our dog training services, click here!

You're liable to see Kelly leading Glen and Hamell on park trails throughout Tampa, especially the Wilderness Parks area on Morris Bridge Road.  As a consultant for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Glen trains the volunteers and staff on dog handling, body language, and obedience.  As a volunteer at the Humane Society, works with dogs to give them a little something special to help them get adopted.  Also, on Thursday mornings from 6a-9a, you can hear him on the Morning Show on WMNF 88.5fm.
