I grew up with cats and dogs and fostered a deep love and respect for animals from a young age. I have over 10 years of pet sitting and dog walking experience, as well as over 250 hours of animal health and behavior training. I strongly believe in only using positive reinforcement methods and I treat my client’s pets with the same amount of love and dedication as I do my own. I currently share my home with Theodore, a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel who enjoys hiking, playing with his dog friends and anything involving food. He’s also a world-class sock thief! In the future, I plan to continue my animal education and pursue a career as a Dog Trainer. I can’t think of a better way to spend a day than hanging out with animals!

From an early age, I’ve had this connection with animals, specifically dogs and cats. Don’t get me wrong, I love all kinds of animals, tame ones, wild ones, big ones, small ones, you name it. But dogs and cats hold a special place in my heart. Growing up, we lived in the country and there were not a lot of kids to play with. We had Boxers, many of them over a period of time. Loyal. Loving. Playful. We also had indoor and outdoor cats, chickens, goats, rabbits and even a milk cow! Being the oldest, I was responsible for taking care of this menagerie. I learned at an early age to care for and be responsible for our animals. This was an experience that has served me will through life. My dog was my best friend and companion. I loved those days. Fast forward to today. We have two Dachshunds. One long haired English Cream Standard named “Smudge” and a Red Smooth named “Hoover”. These guys are our “furry children”. We would never leave home without them. That is until we discovered Home Buddies! Having owned my own pet care service for several years, we were so impressed with the business model and the team. As it worked out, I now have become part of that team. I look forward to giving the same care to our clients as I do my own animals.

From the time my Kindergarten teacher allowed me to take home Snowball (our class pet hamster), I have grown very fond of animals. Ever since then, my family has always had family pets in the house, like hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, small dogs, large dogs etc. I loved them all like they were part of my family. I believe that all animals are living creatures like humans, and have thoughts and feelings and should be treated the same way you would expect to be treated. I currently have 4 dogs. two Chihuahuas (Reecie and Q-Tip), one Pomeranian (Buzz), and a boxer (Duke). They all have unique personalities, and without them in my life I wouldn’t have a home. I look forward to meeting you and your little loved ones, and treating them with the same love and respect as I would treat my own.

From an early age I was instilled with a deep-seated love and respect for our furry, feathery, and fishy friends, which has only deepened as I’ve grown older. I’ve cared for fish, birds, hamsters, cats and dogs (smaller and larger breeds) throughout my life. Today I count my 6-year-old Pit Bull mix as part of my immediate family. Over the years I’ve assisted in her training as a service dog, and today she can open and close doors, retrieve items off the floor and place them on one’s lap (without destroying them in the process), turn off lights, and hog the better part of the bed at night. Because of her, I would one day like to open my own Pit Bull rescue to find caring homes for these often misunderstood and mistreated animals. In the mean time, I will give your pets the same love and respect as I would my own.

Animals have been a part of my life ever since I can remember. We had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, etc. Anytime my neighbors went out of town, they would ask me to take care of their dogs, chickens, cows and lamas. Although I love all animals, horses hold a special place in my heart. I started taking riding lessons when I was nine and got my first horse when I was ten. When I was a teenager I started training under the supervision of my instructor and shortly after began giving riding lessons. I have continued to train and instruct for over 15 years now. I also have experience running a boarding facility. My family and I currently have two dogs. Rosie is a Doxie/Chahuahua mix that we rescued from the shelter. She is my little girl and loves to cuddle! Sarge is our English Bulldog. He is very smart and stubborn and LOVES kids. I also have two horses. Lucky is my fifteen year-old Arabian gelding. I have been doing endurance rides with him and also using him as a lesson horse. My other horse is a three year-old Anglo Arabian filly that I hope to use for endurance as well. I feel privileged to be able to work with animals for a living and firmly believe in caring for each one as I would my own.

I have been an animal lover from a very early age. I was known in the neighborhood as the girl who rescued anything lost or wounded. It was not uncommon for me to bring home a baby bird who had fallen out of the nest or a lost kitten. Consequently, I have over 30 years of experience caring for peoples' pets. Along with the smaller critters, I also have a love for horses and have been riding on and off since I was a kid. In addition to cleaning out their stalls, I have experience grooming, watering, and feeding these magnificent creatures. I am currently the proud pet parent to one dog, Scout, a six year old Terrier mix and two ten year old cats, Tigger and Fritzie. I love having a job where my clients are truly happy to see me every day and shower me with purrs and kisses!

I was very fortunate as a child to have been able to experience and love many different pets including some very unique ones! Besides dogs and cats I had a pet skunk named Snoopy, a rabbit named Thumper, a ferret named Penelope, a pony named Jubilee, a parrot and various reptiles and fish. As an adult, I have raised two boys and we have always had a family pet as I couldn't imagine a family life without one! I am down to one 16 year old Whippet now who is part of our family and whom we all love dearly. Animals have always had a special place in my heart and I feel very fortunate to have a job working with families' beloved pets!
