Laura Roach, Behavior Specialist & Director of Training

Laura Roach, CPDT-KA, is the Director of Training for Camp Bow Wow®, North America’s largest pet care franchise and an Inc. 5000 company. Her responsibilities include running the Behavior Buddies reward-based dog training program. She has been training humans and their dogs for almost ten years and now teaches and mentors the Camp Bow Wow dog trainers to do the same. Laura was featured on Good Morning America for her expertise in helping transform Camp Bow Wow’s worst-behaved dog in America, has appeared on various news stations discussing topics like dog bite prevention, and has had articles featured in various publications.

Laura has been dedicated to keeping their dogs in their homes since she started her training career, and specializes in obedience training of all levels, private training and solving behavioral issues. She has helped over 1,000 dogs stay in their home by helping parents learn how to live a good life with their dogs by teaching them how to fix behavior problems and implement training.
Laura’s specialization is rehabilitating fearful dogs. This issue became a passion for her when she adopted a 4-month old Doberman from a shelter. The pup, now known as Isabelle, had been abandoned at fourteen days old – she was petrified and completely un-socialized. Ms. Roach spent three years working to teach Isabelle that the world is a wonderful place through training, patience and reward-based methods. She has worked on implementing rehabilitation plans with many of her clients, as well as two of her own dogs, by creating reward-based behavioral modification programs to help extreme fear and anxiety issues.
