I was talking to some of my coworker’s during lunch in our employee break room the other day about the impact Camp Bow Wow has on America. I thought I would share some of the statistics we were able to gauge about our franchise system.

1. During a Holiday weekend our camps across the country host anywhere between 3,000 to 5,000 campers on a given day.  That is a lot of tail wagging and all day play!

1. The majority of our camps host 1-5 foster dog (s) that live at camp until they find their forever home, our last tally showed that our camp owner’s have helped place well over 2,500 dogs.  Studies show that dog’s that are well socialized have a better chance of not being returned to the adoption group, we are so proud that camp can be a pawsitive place for them to grow into better family member’s for their forever family.

1. An average sized camp employs 20 camp counselor’s so that means that with our 101 open camps our franchise system employs about 2,000 to 3,000 people in the US.

1. With an average of 40-60 cabins at our camps our system is serving up at least 4,000 to 6,000 meals a day to our camper’s, all without charging our clients extra to serve their pups their breakfast/lunch and dinner!

1. We also figured that we are improving the health and lives of camper’s across the country with our all day play environment.  Let’s say the average camper lost one pound per year from all that exercise.  That means it’s possible a single, busy camp with 2,000 campers coming throughout the year could represent 2,000 lost pounds.  J

Our franchise owners are the some of the most passionate dog lover’s I have ever met in my life and they love your pups like their very own, it’s fun to think about the impact they all make in their communities as well as the impact they make on a larger scale!
