We are so happy to be a part of the Cherry Hill community and have gotten to know many wonderful pets (and their parents!) since we opened. Our whole staff would like to thank all our customers for letting us have, as we say, a 'Dog Gone Good' Time!

We think we are the best Camp Counselors your pup could have! Everyone on staff is a SERIOUS dog lover, with practical training in dog behavior certifications in pet first aid and dog CPR. All of us are eager to meet and greet you and your best canine buddy. Collectively we have many years of experience with dogs, and we promise to take the best possible care of your furry friends.

We spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over your Campers. We are the ones who give out the special Campfire TreatsTM each night before lights out, and tuck each Camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Cabin.

We pride ourselves on getting to know your pup’s name, who their friends are, and just where they like to be scratched. We will take special care of your furry kids and make sure they have a PAW-some time at Camp. We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Years Open: 6

Background: My first job was working in the Safari at Great Adventure. I loved it so much that I decided I wanted to work with animals all my life. After achieving my Bachelors Degree in Biology, I began working in the Veterinary Sciences field in the Pharmaceutical Industry, where I started as a Veterinary Technician and eventually moved up into a Manager position. After 35 years in the corporate environment I was ready for a change. That's when I found Camp Bow Wow! I loved the concept and so did my dog! Camp Bow Wow gave me the opportunity to work for myself and continue to work with animals all day.

Outdoor activities consume my spare time. I love spending time with my son and friends. I love camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, stand up paddling, riding my quad and skiing.

Additional Skills/Qualifications: I am a Certified Manager of Animal Resources, a Certified Laboratory Animal Technologist and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I've also had Kaizen and Six Sigma training which helps me to keep improving business processes.

Fun Facts

What I love most about my job: I love the fact that I can come to work in the morning and be greeted by lots of happy, healthy dogs that are excited to be at Camp! Listening to a clients' story or looking at a picture of their pooped pup just makes my day!

My Pets: You might think I'm crazy but I love reptiles! In addition to my Great Dane, I have 5 snakes, including a Boa Constrictor that I've had for 37 years! I also have two Painted Turtles, a Map Turtle and an American Box Turtle. Most of my reptiles were rescued. My Great Dane travels with me almost everywhere I go and we are often stopped by people who want to take selfies with her!

Position: Operations Manager, Certified Camp Counselor

Years With Camp Bow Wow: 6+

Skills/Experience

Background: After attending college to study Health and Exercise Science, I began my career in the fitness industry. I was successful but it was no the most exciting job for me. I've been surrounded by animals all my life, wild and domestic. I had dogs, cats, ducks, goats and birds as pets when I was growing up. It was time for a change. I found Camp Bow Wow when they were hiring just before their opening in November of 2009. I'm the only employee who has been at Camp since its inception 6+ years ago. I love it!

Additional Skills/Qualifications: I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I'm in charge of training new Counselors. I continue my education by attending management courses at the local community college and on-line training courses offered through Camp Bow Wow.

Fun Facts

What I love most about my job: I love working in the play yards! I make a game out of practicing gate control by getting all the dogs to sit while I open the gate and let other dogs in. I can make 40 dogs in a yard lay down at the same time. Not only does this make the time go by quickly but it helps to balance the energy in the yard.

My pets: I have a black Labrador Retriever, named Pops and a Siberian Husky named Crystal.

Position: Front Desk Manager, Certified Camp Counselor

Years With Camp Bow Wow: 5+

Skills/Experience

Background: I was born and raised in South Jersey. I'm a true 'Jersey Girl'! My first job was as a volunteer a local animal shelter. I loved working with the dogs so much that I started house sitting pets for friends and neighbors.

Additional Skills/Qualifications: While working at Camp Bow Wow, I attended Camden County College, taking several courses in the Veterinary Technician Program. I also completed on-line courses at Penn Foster College. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. In order to enhance my hands-on skills, I worked part time as a Vet Tech at a local Veterinary Hospital. The education and experience helped me to be able to administer medicine to our Campers by keeping them calm and not creating a stressful event for them.

Fun Facts

What I love most about my job: Working at the front desk, greeting happy Campers as they come through the door, and talking to clients.  I love seeing the smile on a parent's face when I tell them something funny that their dog did that day!
