Available Foster Dogs

Meet our current foster dogs who are looking for their loving fur-ever homes in Durham!

At Camp Bow Wow Chapel Hill, we believe every dog should have a loving fur-ever home. We work closely with local shelters and rescues to help with their adoption efforts, and often have foster dogs staying at Camp. These dogs get to play all day with other Campers, snooze the night away in individual Cabins, and get lots of love and attention from our Certified Camp Counselors®.

FOSTER DOGS

250x300_Stripe.jpgSTRIPE (AVAILABLE)

Age: 1 Year
Breed: Hound Mix

Personality

Stripe is one of the sweetest, happiest, and most loving hound pups you will ever meet! So sensitive, his eyes and face have just the most kind, happy, trusting look. He is thrilled to meet fellow doggies and new people, and jumps with joy when he sees someone he knows. Very smart and attentive, Stripe is eager to learn and does very well on a leash -- always responsive to direction and commands. Stripe will look to you for guidance about correct behavior, and will follow you wherever you lead him. He especially loves to flop on the ground and roll around on the grass! He loves a chance to run and play, so it would be great for him to have another resident doggie playmate (or access to one) and a fenced yard. He is also super cuddly. Stripe is healthy, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Age: 1 Year
Breed: Boxer Mix

Personality

Ollie-oop (Ollie for short) is a champion sweetheart and a slam dunk for a lucky individual or family! He is a happy, fun-loving dog with a huge heart and gentle spirit. You will quickly notice his tail is constantly wagging! His gorgeous, dark brown eyes make it easy to fall in love with him! Belly rubs? He's in! A walk? Grab his leash and he is ready! He is very curious, sniffing and exploring his environment as he learns to walk on the leash and greet other dogs and people. Eager to learn, Ollie-oop responds well to corrections and his manners are improving every day. This is a very active boy, and he loves to chase his toys and roll in the grass! Therefore, a nice fenced-in yard for daily exercise will be essential for him to really stretch his legs. Ollie would do well being an only dog, but he would particularly love to have an active canine companion (and human) who likes to play a lot. Ollie is crate-trained and house-trained, and gently accepts his treats.
