We are so happy to be a part of the Chapel Hill community and have gotten to know many wonderful pets (and their parents!) since we opened. Our whole staff would like to thank all our customers for letting us have, as we say, a 'Dog Gone Good' Time!

We think we are the best Camp Counselors your pup could have! Everyone on staff is a SERIOUS dog lover, with practical training in dog behavior certifications in pet first aid and dog CPR. All of us are eager to meet and greet you and your best canine buddy. Collectively we have many years of experience with dogs, and we promise to take the best possible care of your furry friends.

We spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over your Campers. We are the ones who give out the special Campfire TreatsTM each night before lights out, and tuck each Camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Cabin.

We pride ourselves on getting to know your pup’s name, who their friends are, and just where they like to be scratched. We will take special care of your furry kids and make sure they have a PAW-some time at Camp. We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

MEET THE OWNERS

Years Open: 10 Years
We were clients of our Camp Bow Wow for nine years before purchasing the Camp.  We are Certified Public Accountants so "tax season" means a lot of Doggie Day Camp!

We are excited to bring our experience in running a small business to Camp Bow Wow.  We know having expertise and exceptional customer service are the keys to having a successful business.  With that in mind, we have already expanded our camp to include additional services.  We now offer longer hours, Saturday Day Camp and Dog Training.  We look forward to expanding these services and continuing to meet the needs of our human and furry clients.  We are also excited to work with local non-profits to make an impact on our community at a level that is beyond what we could do as individuals.

Fun Facts

When we are not working at Camp Bow Wow or our CPA practice, we enjoy hiking and backpacking with our two Labradors, Keb & Seeger.  We also have three cats, Maceo, Branford & Bud and a few schools of salt water fish.  Our fun fact is all of our pets are named after musical artists!

Position: Camp Director

About Em

Hello! I am very excited to join the Camp Bow Wow Chapel Hill Team!  My dog Buster Keaton (BK) has been coming to camp daily since 2009 and he loves it.  BK suffers from extreme separation anxiety and we turned to Camp as a last resort - in fact I was certain he would fail the interview.  Thankfully I was wrong and Camp has become his home away from home.  Witnessing the impact Camp has had on BK and the peace of mind it has afforded me is the primary reason I wanted to be part of this fantastic team!  I look forward to meeting all of you and your dogs in the near future.

Position: Assistant Manager

About Stephanie

Stephanie has been working at Camp Bow Wow since 2012. She is now a full-time Assistant Manager and is loving every minute of it! She is also the mother of three beautiful girls and has a wonderful husband as well. Her family also includes two dogs, Matty and Opal. Her favorite part of her job is caring for the dogs when their parents are away, and watching them play until they snooze in their cabins from their full day of play. She also loves getting to know our clients and speaking to them each day about their dog's activities. Being at Camp Bow Wow is a dream come true. I go to work doing what I love and go home each day to spend time with my family. That makes me one happy camper!
