Careers_1.jpg

We are so happy to be a part of the Albuquerque community and have gotten to know many wonderful pets (and their parents!) since we opened. Our whole staff would like to thank all our customers for letting us have, as we say, a 'Dog Gone Good' Time!

We think we are the best Camp Counselors your pup could have! Everyone on staff is a SERIOUS dog lover, with practical training in dog behavior certifications in pet first aid and dog CPR. All of us are eager to meet and greet you and your best canine buddy. Collectively we have many years of experience with dogs, and we promise to take the best possible care of your furry friends.

We spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, watching over your Campers. We are the ones who give out the special Campfire TreatsTM each night before lights out, and tuck each Camper into their own spacious, comfy and clean Cabin.

We pride ourselves on getting to know your pup’s name, who their friends are, and just where they like to be scratched. We will take special care of your furry kids and make sure they have a PAW-some time at Camp. We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Three years at the helm of Albuquerque’s premier dog daycare and boarding experience.

An Albuquerque transplant since 1989, Joe has a varied history of leading successful teams in his professional career.  He served in the US Navy as an electronic technician aboard a supply ship before taking that knowledge and experience to the electronic engineering sector of private manufacturing for nearly a decade. In the private sector, Joe was immediately given leadership roles in RF testing, manufacturing, r&d and troubleshooting. Making the decision to work with dogs was not taken lightly.  The natural choice for this change of careers was to pursue the position of Accredited Pet Training Instructor with PetSmart for several years before joining the Camp Bow Wow family in 2013. He also owns a candle company, making small-batch soy candles to sell at local shops and craft fairs.

Joe and his husband have five dogs: Frankie, Leela, Porterhouse, Dorothy and Ogre – all of which are rescues.

Hobbies: Gardening, Travel, Woodworking, Playing the Harmonica and Cooking.
