Franchise Business Consultant - Area Director

Located in Westminster, CO

About the Job:
The Franchise Business Consultant serve as the first point of contact for our locations, customers, prospective clients and vendors. They manage the communication flow process for the corporate office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and resolves questions, complaints, and concerns from franchisees of their assigned region (30-60 locations depending on assigned region).
  • Manages and resolves questions, complaints, and concerns from customers of their assigned region (30-60 locations depending on assigned region).
  • Documents all daily communication and resolves all issues within 24 hours of receipt (including after hours).
  • Document Operations and Refresh meeting minutes.
  • Weekly Calls to locations that have a YOY increase/decrease in sales.
  • Oversees the compliance of brand standards for all assigned locations by performing webcam evaluations (1-4 per quarter), requesting Mystery Shop visits, and tracking all items of concern from all onsite evaluations performed with the Senior Franchise Operations Directors.
  • Serve as the Operation Directors and Franchise Business Consultant for the locations in the select territory by performing onsite evaluations, reviewing sales numbers and trends, and providing suggestions to franchisees on how to increase sales.
  • Accompanies and assists Training Department with onsite opening training for new locations in the region.
  • Assist with labor coverage at corporate locations as needed.
  • Manages the Trade Dress compliance for all locations (over 6,000 items) by requesting photos of required items, tracking completion and frequent review of the brand standards manual for accuracy.
  • Attends onboarding calls for new locations and Home Buddies in their region and partners with the Senior Franchise Operations Director on the calls following the location opening training.
  • Documents operations manual revisions for the Legal Department to incorporate into manual as needed.
  • Collects documentation from all locations and maintains the company spreadsheet log for all registered franchises and their pets.
  • Creates course curriculum and modules for our learning management system.
  • Assists with all training by creating internal and external agendas, sending out homework for attendees, requesting background checks, ordering the printing of manuals, food delivery and coordinating presentations given by the corporate staff.
  • Create and deliver presentation of our roles at Corporate Training.
  • Assists Technology Department in all testing of new applications and programs.

Essential Skills:

The Franchise Business Consultant must possess excellent business and financial acumen. Technical expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet skills are a must. The Area Director must be flexible around hours available as well.

  • Time Management and project management skills are critical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience with FranConnect or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Preferred

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • Two or more years of relevant experience.

Availability
Full time, exempt position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. ‐ 5 p.m. at the Corporate Office in Westminster, CO; attendance at evening and weekend events may be required occasionally. Business travel may be approximately 70%.

Training & Communication Specialist

Located in Westminster, CO

About the Job:
The Training and Communications Specialist focus is primarily on training new Camp Bow Wow Franchise Owners and their staff on daily operations at Camp. This position requires traveling throughout the whole year to new opening Camps for 5 days, and a 3-day trip ~ 90-days after the Camp opens. Groups for training range from 2-15 people at a time with topics including cleaning, customer service, safety, communication, dog behavior, grooming, and feeding Campers. Additional focus on creating and updating training materials for the whole system.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel to “Poop Camps” to assist with training Franchise Owners and their staff prior to the Camp’s Soft open.
  • Assist training department with the following:
    • Poop Camp (New Camp openings)
    • 90-Day Post Opening Trainings for new Camps
    • New Franchise Owner training (Camp Ops 101)
    • Learning management tools
    • Other materials, as needed
  • Create tools, manuals, coaching guides, etc., that will help Franchise Owners grow and operate their business more efficiently.
  • Help design standardized processes and procedures for Franchise Owners and internal team.
  • Create manuals, supplemental guides, etc., for Regional meetings or regional trainings.
  • Determine needs of Franchise Owners and work with field operations team to create tools that will assist achieving desired goal.
  • Help train internal staff on new processes, procedures, etc.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Reliable, organized, detail/task oriented
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage a project from start to finish and ensure all department are meeting deadlines for the project.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to change course on a project as needed
  • Ability to learn very quickly and work with minimal oversight

Requirements:

  • Minimum high schools / GED
  • Prefer 2-year degree within the animal industry
  • +2 years’ professional dog daycare/boarding experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Must be able to travel

Full time, exempt position. Normal work hours maybe Monday through Friday and includes many nights and weekends. Home location is at the Corporate Office in Westminster, CO. Requires more than 70% business travel throughout the US.
